Yeah I don’t think State is going to live up to that. Here is the top 10 based on my ratings. What is yours Roger?
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. LSU
5. Oklahoma
5. Michigan
7. Ohio State
8. Florida
8. Notre Dame
10. Auburn

Let's just thankful Roger decided to research something instead of rejecting actual statistical data for no reason other than something he made up in his head. Big steps were made today

The 2018 offense while not a dumpster fire wasn't anything to write home about
before the a&m and bowl game the offense was a complete dumpster fire
Offensive rankings before a&m
70th or worse in....
points per game
points per play
yards per game
yards per play
completion %
80th in passing yards per game
completions per game
rushing yards per play
3rd down conversion %
1st downs per game
87TH IN OFFENSIVE TDS PER GAME
103rd in redzone td %
only a biased person would call our 2018 offense anything but a dumpster fire

better than Southeastern shutting us down...

Yet you have no clue what the data is
How did MSU get put at number 10?
What kind of super duper statistical data would have them 10th after losing their QB and the bulk of their best defensive players?

They finished last season in the top 10 and last year’s final ratings serve as the starting point for his preseason ratings, prior to adjustments for the upcoming year.
Where would you have State ranked and what is your top 10?

That doesn't sound like a data driven, sound way to predict a top ten. MSU didn't even finish in the top ten. 18th in the CFP poll and lost their QB and two best defensive players. The only place MSU and Auburn were top ten were in the S&P
I certainly would look at who's returning and the schedule.
I wouldn't have MSU in the top 25.

it happens so much its not even fun anymore.
his only response is to call me fat while never seeing a picture of me.
do you realize how bias you have to be to shite on an offense that was bad for 3 games and defend as offense that was good for 3 games?

Wait, we've been told final rankings don't matter in terms of O's wins. It only matters what they were ranked when the game is played. You know, like Miami.

So you would never shite on an offense that only looked good vs teams that averaged 80th in total defense?

I’m not sure if you realize how much this group of sentences contradicts one another. The final S&P ratings are entirely data driven. They carry over, and then are adjusted based primarily on returning production to arrive at the preseason ratings for the following year.
The CFP poll is results oriented, not data driven. If a P5 team pulls out several lucky wins on their way to being undefeated they will make the CFP playoff, that doesn’t mean a team with one or two losses can’t conceivably be a better team by a data driven model. Why would anyone do all of this work, only to scrap it all at the end of every season and use the CFP poll as the starting point for the following season?

I certainly would look at who's returning and the schedule.
He does look at returning production and weights some more than others based on a correlation he has found to improvement the following season.
They haven’t played anyone in 2019 yet, why would their schedule matter? This is a team strength measurement, as repeated numerous times, not an “expected outcome based on who they play” measurement.

I wouldn't have MSU in the top 25.
Where do you have them rated based on all the things you mentioned, and how all of those things compare to the other 129 teams in FBS? I have them at 16.
What is your top 10?

How can you be data driven without considering results?? Its "partially" data driven. By his own admission he uses subjective weighting.
If I had a final poll that had Auburn and MSU in the top ten; what would you think of it? Honest answer

Nope. Nope. You don't understand science. That's why you do what you do and we predict where schools are ranked. MSU is obviously top ten. If you had any football knowledge like the average nega here you'd understand.
