I am sure there are a few donors that get along with him. He'll occasionally take them to lunch, otherwise, sit home, get paid, and then when his contract is up, he will be done.
I think what this really means is he won't be an AD anywhere else.

Until the Wade incident there were no problems between Joe and the donors. I don’t believe that all of their anger was directed at Joe either. More the board and F King. Throughout his time here at LSU Joe was able to as for and get money for a lot of things. That was one of the few positives of him being the AD.

I consider Alleva gone, at this point. And honestly, F King was only a problem because Alleva let him be a problem. You can bet that Woodward won't let that happen.

Without looking at the terms of Alleva's contract I'm assuming this is some stop gap job LSU gave him for the remainder of Alleva's term. They're doing it either to avoid paying some sort of penalty or to put LSU in better position in anticipation of getting sued by Alleva.

We would owe him 700K if we fired him. He’s not wanted here and he’s going to work for the president as an assistant in DONOR RELATIONS? Nobody likes him. How is that going to make people want to donate to the Fierce for the Future campaign? He’s going to have to raise 700K for us to break even. We’re trying to raise 1.5 billion. Now it’s like trying to raise 2.2 billion. I know athletics is separate from academics but it’s still money just in a different hand. Ugh!
