I seem to recall that the Mike we had before this one was one of the most easy going tigers and he would actually walk right into the cage.

He was also 20 years old and tamer than most cats. They discovered once that the door to his cage had been left unlatched one night. He didn't even try to escape.

Why don't you go ahead and hop in the habitat and do it then?

Please be sure to get the whole thing on video for us.

I know for a fact that they work with mike all the time on loading. Getting in the trailer isnt so much the problem anymore. Mike freaks the frick out when he gets in there and it isnt good for his well being.

I love the tradition of mike being on the field and im bummed everytime he isnt out there, but the people who say its his "job" to be out there are dumb as shite.

This. He may have very sensitive ears ????

Who cares? It doesnt even matter anymore, but every week there are a bunch of dumbasses here saying "force him in, its his job". Y'all realize that we did not get the tiger to hav the job ofgoing in a tiny arse cage and parading around.

For what it's worth I saw Mike before the game Saturday in his habitat, pacing (not uncommon) but panting heavily like he was stressed. That sounds like the above poster saying when he gets in, he freaks out. Sucks, but it is what it is.

So yes, he is there on campus for the entertainment of the fans. Part of that entertainment should be to travel to the games right across the street.

Congrats on being a douche.

We have a mascot mike the tiger if you havent noticed.

Those days are over. Enjoy having a live Tiger at all. He's probably the last one we'll have.

Everyday from now until gameday, they need to throw a giant hunk of meat in the cage. Let him go eat it, and then return to the habitat. So by the Alabama game, he goes in for his meat and we close the door. Then he gets to be in the stadium.

On a side note: PETA is the biggest P.O.S. organization in America. Who have they helped? Oh yeah, no one. Multi-million dollar charitable organization that helps no human being except for its employees. and Sarah McLachlan

Our current Mike is far larger than any Bengal Mike we ever had. He simply does not want to go into that small cage. We should quit trying to get him to do that and never get another half Siberian Tiger again. They are too big.
