For those just joining us, Southern Miss scored all 12 of their runs in the 5th inning. They sent 14 batters to the plate and that half inning lasted 50+ minutes with 2 pitching changes in the inning.

USM is hot but ASU just absolutely quit in the 5th. There were a ton of walks and bloop hits so it’s hard to tell which is which.

Kid for Southern Miss tomorrow appears to be a dam good pitcher. Just guessing they throw Walker Powell a 6' 7" Righty who is 6-2 and has a 2.78 over 95 innings. Before someone jumps in and says look at the competition he shut out Mississippi State over 7.2.

I'm more concerned about USM. They are going to get through this without throwing their best pitcher, and are crushing the ball right now. Does anyone know how deep USM's staff is?
