Well that’s not exactly fair. The kid Southern Miss is throwing is their most talented pitcher and should have been their ace according to a southern miss poster. He either said it was injury or a tough adjustment since he is a freshman that kept him from taking that role earlier but that this isn’t them pitching off.

He had Tommy John in high school and is just now able to pitch. He's clearly got the best stuff on the staff.
Edit: It's similar to how Ranaudo (sp?) came back from injury at the end of '08 for LSU.

I know he throws 97, but the chain/flatbill combo makes me think he's not exactly a guy I would like to sit down and grab a beer with.

I'm not sure who I would rather win this game, but I know I would like for them to use a ton of pitching.

ASU...yes
USM...not technically, but people are saying he is the best pitcher they have. Just not used in that "ace" role due to injury.
