Just got the email. Think I may just have to settle for my poor-man's seats in 216.

the south stadium expansion attendance has been underwhelming. they are gonna have to find a new way to move those seats.
the price is too high for what you get. they should just make regular upper deck seating and sell for cheaper.

I think they have to come off the donation a little. They shouldn't cost as much as the west stadium clubs. It's the same logic that endzones don't cost as much as 50 yard line tickets.
ETA: LOL at the three game package where they put Arkansas and Syracuse in the same tier.

The beautiful thing about capitalism is that the free market will correct these prices. $450 a ticket plus a $2,200 donation to the Tiger Athletic Foundation? Not going to happen. They built those seats and need to make revenue from them so these prices will plummet in short order.

Weren't these game packages available already on lsutix?

If someone does buy them, they better go to every game; because they're not going to be able to recover their money on the resale market.

cant speak for every stadium. the ut stadium in austin has something similar, much lower to the field in the endzone for $235 a ticket.
$500 is outrageous to sit so high.

$500/ticket/game is a lot of fricking money. That's stubhub prices for a legit powerhouse game.
But i'm assuming you get priority points and a tax write off for this??

Part of that price is allocated as TAF donation, so yes, same benefits as other required ticket donations.

So for the amount it would take for 4 of us to sit here ($10,900), we could purchase a nice HD Projector with sound and basically host a party for 20 for every game. Talk about pricing out the ticket holders. I hardly think that access to purchase alcohol and the "food" that is served up there is worth an extra $400 a ticket from what we already pay. (Those numbers are estimated).
Matter of fact, I could rent a bad arse tailgate trailer for each home game and supply it with alcohol and food and spend about the same amount, if not less. That's just too much money for what value they offer.
ETA: Or did I do the math wrong? Is it 2300 donation a piece or only 425 a piece?

In every other section the donation is per ticket, so I assume it's the same here. They did kind of word it ambiguously though.

I have seats in there. I am a little shocked that joe blow can now come off the street and get season tickets in there with no donation at all. At least I won't have to worry about someone stealing my seats in three years when the contract is up, especially if Coach O flops.
The seats are good seats, but it is marketed to a certain fan. It is not corporate, rather it is for upper/middle class alums/families and friends who want to enjoy the overall experience rather than be glued to the game. I was impressed that it was full of kids my first three years. Comfort is the selling point of these seats.
If you have the means, I highly recommend it. It is an extremely comfortable way for your family to watch a football game, and you are treated by the staff like royalty.
I do hope that they come down on the per seat donation though.

Well they do have to make a donation of $2,300 per ticket. Not sure how many points that would immediately turn into. I got the email, but I am already a season ticket holder and TAF member. I don't know if its actually available to non-members; however, I suppose someone could make the donation and immediately become a TAF member.

I refer to the donation to get a phone call to get the opportunity to pay the $2300 donation.
The $2300 donation is not applied to your philanthropic ranking. It would be 2.3 lifetime points.
If you have the opportunity to get these seats for $100 philanthropy donation, that is pretty sweet, considering a guy off the street would have to give a few thousand just to get the opportunity to purchase upper bleacher seats. I donated 100 bucks for six straight years and never got a call for season tickets.

Have had seats there since the beginning. TOO high, and I am near the front row, for the price.
Food is ok, but way too much "socializing" by women and kids.
TAF will have to adjust in two years when most of the original contracts expire. West side is loads better.

Thanks, but I'll continue to buy my $5.00 - $15.00 400 level tickets that I purchase outside Tiger Stadium for every game I want to attend. (And it's not every game any longer)
