They couldn't score against Vandy, and Alabama put 30 point on Vandy. So stating they can score against anybody is kinda out there dude.

Calm down Francis

Sellers only played 3 offensive drives that game.
1st Drive - TD
2nd Drive - Redzone INT to the DT dropping into zone
3rd Drive - 15 yards loss on a bad snap killed the drive
4th Drive - concussion on the 1st play of the drive

Am I worried about their offense vs LSU's defense? No
Am I worried about LSU's offense scoring enough points vs anybody to win? Yes

Vandy was driving for the go-ahead score with 12 min left in the game...Bama got a garbage TD with 17 secs left in game...Vandy is a good team this year.

I agree. But we can do this out of the Pistol where we’ve been practicing.

Move Bordelon to TE and go heavier with more run blocking and protection.

and allowing the defense to drop 7-8 in coverage on a consistent basis without punishing them with the run

The way you punish a team for consistently dropping seven or eight is your QB sits in the pocket for four or five seconds and hits receivers ten yards downfield on comebacks and such. Running the ball doesn’t work any better against cover three than against other coverages because eight of the defenders are playing run first.

I don't get this honestly. I thought Curne earned a shot at starting a game. He looked better than Davis did all season once he settled into the game.

We need to ascertain if LaMichael is any good!

They should've beaten us last year. Sellers was running right through us until he got hurt.

Sellers also had two turnovers that lead to scores that closed the gap from 17-0 to 17-14. Then we knocked him out on a sack.

Their stats suck for a reason. They downgraded at OC, their OL is struggling, they don’t have any great backs, and they only have one legit receiving threat. Sellers has to be Superman at all times and he’s turned the ball over and gotten hurt, just like last season.

Their defense also isn’t as good as it was last year. It’s still solid, but they lost a lot of depth and several playmakers, especially along the DL.

you have to think that Kelly keeps things close to the vest and if they are going to change anything up, he certainly won't advertise it at a press conference...

The rabble here is stupid enough to think he should.

On passing game against OM -"We were setting almost every play for a particular player." - BK

You understand that could be interpreted that NUSS is focusing on particular WRs too much, right?

There are some plays like screens that are specifically designed for the ball to go to one receiver, and RPOs will usually either be one or two pass reads or the give to the back. However, any other pass play we run will have multiple options and focusing on one guy there would be on the QB.

Donovan Green is a legit blocking TE and has proven he can catch a pass. Bordelon touching the field at TE just lets the defense know for 100% certainly that it’s a run play. He should never be in for anything but goal line and short yardage.

but I was hoping to hear some things might change considering how bad the offense has been.

i think this game will be a tossup.

if the defense causes turnovers and able to pressure Sellers we might have have a chance to win.

but i expect the offense will be unproductive and unable to take advantage of any turnovers.
