Lets be honest if you're a QB at LSU and aren't able to rush a 100 times per year your chances are slim to be the starter. I think BK had 2 guys at Notre Dame his entire time that didn't hit that mark. So talks of transferring doesn't surprise me with Walker and Nuss.

The only thing that concerns me is that I thought the same thing about Bech and Walker and Bech are tight. That said, this is just BS. I just talked with someone from his immediate family a few weeks ago and they are as LSU as it gets. And as stated by others on here, I would not be shocked if he moves to #1 next year anyway. He is that talented. One solid game by Nuss does not mean that he is automatically your starter next year and even if he is, Howard would be the next guy up.

I just want to remind everyone again. This is the short period leading up to signing day and now Portal time where these emags and recruiting sites get their highest traffic. They will and can start rumor stories about anyone and everyone flipping or going portal without any backup info needed. This is like tax season to a CPA.
The sad part is that Bout 10% of these stories actually have some legs because decision day is coming soon. Just hard to sort the clickbait from the real news.

I wonder if we are going to reach a point where all the top programs are either starting true freshman at QB or starting a transfer.
Schools are going to have to eventually figure out how to get the best out of this situation for themselves. I’ve assumed all players for major programs get a bag of money coming out of high school and that started long before NIL. Now I’m assuming it is equally common for players to get money for transferring. If you are a player, you are leaving money on the table if you don’t transfer. Seems like it might make sense to only take transfers because at least then you only have to pay them once. Or the bagmen/NIL handlers need to attach a bunch of strings to the money to encourage good players not to leave.

Guys that's speculation, and they are talking about the rumors that have been out for a couple days, that they never put out. The guy in the chat brought up the rumor to them and they are just talking about the current situation.
I hate when dumbass people post stuff here from people I watch and KNOW the people on this forum have complete tunnel vision. They see anybody saying anything that they don't agree with as the enemy and shite people.

The issue as explained to me by someone in the know is Howard wants second team reps. He doesn’t want to go through another year 3rd string playing the scout team QB. He was under the impression when he signed that Daniel’s was one and done with him and Nuss competing for starting position next year.

I did not listen or read the article. I do know Walker is not happy sitting the bench. Yes he was prepared to redshirt but I think most redshirts still think they will get some playing time per NCAA rules. Which I think is 4 games they can play in. Not sure if exact time. How much time did Walker get in game time situation this year? How is sitting on a bench helping developing him to be a starter? This would be the cause of him leaving IF that was to happen. Whatever happens with the QB room we will not know until spring anyway unless JD declares.

Nuss got very little even when we had nice leads. Howard basically got NOTHING.

I am not blaming anyone. Just stating what I was told. You are definitely right. I do think I would want my QB2 to have to game time experience, especially with a running QB1. You are one tackle away from QB2 being promoted!
