They were both asked if Tyrann could sit out a year and then return to the team, both said they didn't think Tyrann wanted to do that. Nothing about it being impossible or him being kicked out of school.

Miles has been the coach here 7 years now. Don't we all know by now you can't take him at his word in media settings. So dissecting what he said in the press conference is useless.

IMHO, I think everyone is very confused and hazy on the rules and conditions of TM suspension/dismissal.
If TM transferred to a D2 school or a JUCO, would he be eligible to transfer to a D1 school the next season? Im not positive on the rules but I think he would be able to. If he could and thats what he wants to do, why not sit out a year at LSU and then rejoin?

That seems accurate. Actually a little surprised it wasn't more. I know USC was one of the schools that did.

It could have easily went down as:
Miles, "Tyrann, you failed a test, you have to sit out a year and pay your own way."
Tyrann: "No way coach"
Miles: "okay, see ya, then youre dismissed"
after a few days:
Tyannr: "Hey coach, does that sit out a year option still stand?"
Trying to come to conclusions ith the info we have is futile.

If Mathieu at the time had told him, coach I am choosing to transfer rather than sit out a year guess what? Miles would fully believe that he wouldn't be back and would dismiss him from the team to get the transfer process started.
