I have no problem with the Copeland carry. he's got to know that ball security is paramount, especially near the goalline.

what i was dumbfounded with was his benching for the rest of the game.

This one is no different and that is on COACHING.

that's all you guys ever blame it on.

The gameplan vs. Alabama was fine. Miles didn't do anything to cause the game to get out of hand.

You guys need a scapegoat and it's ALWAYS on coaching after losses.

I guess I'm different. I look at things from waaaaay further than you guys do. Big Picture.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If he weren't benched, people would be bitching and complaining that he was in after a terrible fumble.

Since he was benched, people question that decision.

With all that said, the OL sucks and Stud should be done after this season.

Prom, I get benching him for a few series to clear his head.

but it was quite evident that the running game was in dire need of his blocking the entire rest of the way.

TDs running that exact same play

...and it was the perfect call. Hill went into motion out to the slot and brought a defender with him opening up the hole.

The call was fine and should have been a TD.

I'm not exactly sure how it's Les' fault that Copeland fumbled the ball.

The Miles lovers will make excuses all day every day until this guy is gone even though he continues to defy making sense on the football field. When Hill fumbles he is out for the rest of the game. Copeland fumbles and he is gone. However, Welter and Barrow can continue to stink up the field every game yet they remain in the game. Mills is targeted and abused and continues to stink it up but he stays in the game. Plays that are working on offense are abandoned all together. The list goes on and on but please little ostriches continue to bury your heads in the sand

Agreed. neighbors missed quite a few blocks. But again, the OL sucked. Turner was absolutely dreadful in the first half. (I kept rewinding on short runs to see who missed the blocks and on more than a few occasions, it was Turner getting beat.)

Dynamite drop-in, Monte. Way to bring a Rant generic response to what seems to be a decent discussion. Thanks.

Then you simplify & practice. Simplify & practice. At some point you'll figure out if the kid wants to play or is just out there. At the college level it shouldn't even be a question of the player having motivation to be out there.

then its the coaches fault?

If he plays in a game it is. For example, I don't blame DJ Welter for anything that happens while he's in the game. Why? Because he doesn't put himself in the game Chavis does. Any failures he has on the field are a direct result of Chavis playing him.

Because he shouldn't have been in the game. On that play I thought it should have been Hilliard. That's my beef. If he couldn't travel for Ole Miss or play for Furman then ease him back in. I thought it should have been Neighbors & Jones all night.

Look, Miles is not a guy who will fire people. I haven't a clue why that is, when you're boss, u gotta cut the dead weight.

if miles doesn't fire stud this year, then all that will do is add to the venom, add to the fire. we absolutely need a step up in OL coaching.

Tell me how is it that Bama goes through these OL coaches and player attrition, yet there seems to never be that much of a drop off?

Really it did??????? I must have missed the part where they put the those 6 points on the board...silly me! My unspoken point was spread em out and give it to Hill.

But, they put Hill in motion to get the defense to not focus on the runner. And you know what? That part worked.

Had Copeland used his right hand to cover the ball instead of trying a late and feeble stiff arm, we are talking about how great a call it was.

That's not to say that coaching has nothing to do with execution, just that sometimes the breaks go against you.

The real problem with LSU right now is that the breaks going against them vs Alabama has gotten inside their heads and things quickly snowball. See the fake punt.

I am beginning to wonder if Miles can fix that.

This is what kills me. They lost a lot on their OL from last year, and they looked weaker earlier this season. But they get better as the season progresses. We get worse or stay the same. There is a lack of focus and discipline on basics in our program.

This has been the case every year under Miles, regardless of who the OC is. Also, sometimes when a player gets hot, he inexplicably gets benched (ex: Charles Scott at Kenctucky in 2007).
