Not this guy. I dont expect anyone to coach us thru a Bama loss.

AU was a good win. They have a legit defense. They have a streaky offense, but they are capable at times.

Florida wasnt either of those things. Florida is really bad, so I didnt give a lot of credit for that win. AU is a different story.

Why is everyone that criticizes O a "hater" to you people? I've been pretty happy the last two weeks, but as the face of LSU football, he deserves almost every bit of criticism he's received so far.

Great win and everyone deserves props after the Game.

However, in the same way that one loss ( or two ) does not make or break any coach.. Orgeron included... One good win does not prop him up either..

Never forget, the worst coach in LSU's history went into Tuscaloosa and beat a #1 Bama when Bama was a very dominate team.

Yeah! Instead let's act like the Florida and Auburn games didn't happen...

Those games make the Troy loss all the more inexcusable.

The Hate Coach O crowd will continue to do so no matter what he accomplishes, and are the same posters that were part of the Hate Les Miles crowd, and were the same people calling for the firing of Saban after he lost to Florida in 2003. They ain't gonna change.

The irony of the last line is awesome from such a close minded view.

Where did this idea that everyone is for or against the coach come from? Like no one roots for the team, it's just proxy to be right. It's such stupidity. The so called Anti-O people don't think he's a very good coach and don't think he will lead LSU back into Championship contender status. It's not about results of certain games.

A) That our AD did not do his due diligence in the coaching search.

B) That Ed Orgeron, based solely on his abysmal coaching resume did not deserve even an interview for this job. Had he gone to a smaller school after the ole Miss debacle and worked his way back up, he could have actually been truthful when he said that "he earned" this job.

C) That as someone who feels the above, I never EVER thought the wheels were going to come flying the frick off as it looked like they were early this season, so let's not pretend most were predicting that kind of collapse at the start of the season. I thought LSU would do ok, and ok the next season and generally plug along STILL not getting back up over the hump...you know, the hump over which Miles could not get us back up over and why everyone wanted his scalp.

In addition, even if he'd have gone undefeated this year it STILL would not have changed any of the above and "The System" we are attempting here (a figure head coach who hires better coaches to coach each side of the ball) would only be seen as any kind of success if he could win AFTER having to replace both current coordinators. That's the system, right? That he'll just keep NOT being a coordinator and having to hire the best coordinators around? Well...before anyone could honestly declare "The System" a success, that would have to actually happen. the inverse is not true, however. You COULD declare it a fricking disaster long before then as he was responsible for the Canada hire and he's taking credit for retaining Arranda. Those are "his." He needs to be able to competently replace them when they leave and win more and not then suggest that these new coordinators need time to get in "their guys" to run "their system."

All the above having been said, none of that takes away from a great win by the guys who showed tremendous heart and a desire to not be embarrassed at home. Tremendously happy for those guys who got the job done!

In addition, it did kind of point out what may of us have been saying...that while we ARE young and inexperienced in places we actually CAN line up and play with most anyone. If we were as talent poor as many attempted to claim after the Troy loss no amount of coaching in the fricking world could have caused what we saw on Saturday.

surely you can go back, read your posts, ask yourself "does this sound like I'm complaining?" and then be honest with yourself.

You're complaining.

what fact? As you answer that, keep in mind the difference by definition in a fact and an opinion.

Y’all are insane if you don’t see that O isn’t a good coach and that a major decline is in store for the program much sooner than later with O at the helm.

It already is in decline. Beat a bad Florida team. Sure we beat a good Auburn team but DiNardo beat the number one team in the country so it don't mean much. Ed O still gotta go.

Auburn was a quality win, but Florida was definitely not. Something like 10 players suspended, I think 4 were starters including their top WR and RB...plus their starting QB was out with an injury. And the game still came down to a missed extra point as the difference.

Great win! Proud of the fight the team showed, and great 2nd half adjustments.

Still very concerned for the future of the program.

See, here is the difference between O 'haters' and CheeriOs...one group is completely emotional and bases that emotion on one game.

The other group looks at the season and career as a whole, and makes an educated guess on what that means for the future.

I'll let you decided which group is which...

Yeah, that's basically my feeling as well. If we finish 9-3, there will be people praising Orgeron's "coaching" ability, but I'll be sitting here wondering how we won @ UF, beat Auburn, and took 3 games form Alabama/Ole Miss/Arkansas/Texas A&M while finding a way to get smoked by Miss St. and lose to Troy @ home.

All of the excuses made for why we lost those games don't jive with the ability to beat UF @ their place and come home and beat Auburn.

Um well you should but all you want is a national championship in his first year as coach. If he goes 9-3 for the year, you better be proud af and not give a shiet about it anymore. We almost lost to Troy b4 and SHOULD have.. We scored 30 in the dam 4th quarter and were lucky af. Oh and Saban almost lost to UAB. SABAN. NUFF SAID. idc about the loss anymore and it won't ever happen again. All it did was tell Coach O to learn how to prepare for cupcakes. This is a learning season for him so if he goes 9-3, that would be incredible.

Love how quickly we’ve gone from trying to compete with bama to it being a forgone conclusion that they beat us and the loss already being excused.
