But when do they actually come? I mean there is offseason for these guys and such. I assume they will decide by summer cause they gotta start school somewhere in August.

Thanks for the lengthy reply. I was literally trying to understand why its still quiet on recruits. Other schools are faced with these same list reasons. I guess it will boil down to money right?

Thats the part that stresses me. It seems like CWW is zigging while everyone else zags. Maybe there are other schools doing what we are doing but I don't follow other teams very closely so idk. Seems like the Duke's of the world are just signing top portal talent like normal. I think CWW is using this strategy because he needs 12 guys, not just a few. He is hoping to get some of these 5th year guys on a discount when the other big schools are already filled up.

But just think. From the portal visits we know for sure have happened, we have a 100% commitment rate. Doesn't get much better than that. Relax, we will have a team. you need to email Wade and ask that he include you in the daily update newsletter/email he sends out. then you will not have to be all worried all the time.

This is a football driven board. In football, players in portal need to decide and sign quickly so they can get on campus for spring classes, so they can go through spring camp, and semester starts 2-3 weeks after portal opens
Basketball has a lot more time, I’m sure many would like to be here for summer but they don’t have to be here until fall

My guess is its a bunch of 5th, G league, NBA hopeful guys and if they all annouce they are coming, it'll scare away other potential signees. If they all end up here then it wouldn't matter but if they don't get ruled as eligible then we ar eleft with no roster at all. (No loophole guys or regular recruits)
The counter to my theory is that if this were true, wouldn't there be rumors of the second tier type of guys we are recruiting in case our first choices don't get eligibility?
I get LSu has reason to be quiet but why are the recruits staying quiet as well? You'd think another school would catch wind that a guy is silently committed to LSU when they try to pursue him and he doesn't reciprocate. And if these recruites ARE still talking to other schools, are they really committed?
This whole thing makes my mind spin. I just keep landing back on CWW is good at building rosters so let the man cook.
