Have you never driven over the speed limit?

If speeding was the start of a downward spiral I would have been dead 25 years ago.

I mean, it is certainly reckless driving, but I admit to having done this before. Multiple times in fact. Doesn't seem an indication of Sam being a problem child.

If the speed limit is 55, the road has got to be basically akin to an interstate highway. Who hasn't gone 89 on the interstate?

Nearly happened to me. 71 in a 40. Granted it was a US highway and the speed limit would have been 65, but it was a construction zone.

Had to drive 4 hours to court a few months later.

edit:

Who hasn't tried to see how fast their car can go on the interstate at 1am with no one around? I'm sure many have gone well over 100mph in a 70mph zone on the interstate.

He was "reportedly" cut along with a couple other rookies for smoking the night before a preseason game. Yet he passed a voluntary drug test a couple days after they released him. Never failed a drug test with the league or anything like that.

If you ask me, the Texans were never a good fit and it showed from the very beginning when they, like idiots, tried to turn him into a 3-4 OLB. My guess is they tried to cover their asses by saying he was caught smoking weed.

But hey, why pass up a good opportunity to bash a former Tiger, amirite?

If he was driving Jeremy Hill's new car this board would explode.

I can honestly say i've never gone 89 on the interstate. The most i've caught myself driving over the speed limit of 70 is 85, maybe once or twice, and i'm 37.

Sam was pushing 90 in a 55. That's extreme.

Wasnt he cut for illegal drug use a while back?

Read my above post. It was a really shady deal that the Texans cut him on. He never failed a drug test or anything, but they allege that they caught him an a couple other rookies smoking the night before a game. FWIW he passed a voluntary drug test after being cut.

Technically, you can go to jail for any speed over the limit.

First, you spelled "athlete" wrong. Second, you should just shut up from now on.

Certain states I know 25 over can land you in jail. Its considered reckless driving.
