Live a little. If he's driving a high performance car it's hard not to speed. I won't even post how fast I've went on a long, straight road with no traffic, and a 55 mph speed limit.

It's just speeding. It's not like he punched a woman in the mouth or kicked a person on the ground in the head.

34 miles over is basically saying FU I'll do what I want.

Some people never get it.

Who hasn't tried to see how fast their car can go on the interstate at 1am with no one around? I'm sure many have gone well over 100mph in a 70mph zone on the interstate.

well I noticed I was going 130 just trying to merge onto the interstate the other day...felt totally irresponsible, but I loved it, so I nailed it and jumped to 150 until I shut it down. I was thinking of going to turn myself in after....then reconsidered.

I don't think anyone is saying it's wise...but to say it's the start of a downward spiral is a bit much.

And why do people refer to marijuana as a drug and not alcohol. Alcohol is more legitimately a drug than weed, a naturally growing plant. It takes several steps to produce alcohol, just as it takes several steps to create a drug. With marijuana, you just harvest it and let it cure. Stepping off soapbox now.

Not just the speeding, but a combination of things - being cut for drug use, speeding, perceived laziness when he admitted he took plays off, etc.

Not saying he's starting a death-spiral, but people who have it all together generally don't do this kind of nonsense in such a short time.

He's got a golden opportunity here with the NFL and the possibility of setting himself and family up for life financially, and he's doing silly stuff.

Combine it all and it says something about his character.

Saying he didn't give 100% against rent-a-win teams, getting smeared by the Texans despite never failing a drug test and getting caught speeding = bad character?

I could understand thinking that he maybe lacks common sense, but questionable character? GTFO

There are highways with 75mph speed limits and 6 lanes interstates with 55mph. It's all hard to keep up with because speed limits change constantly on the same road.

That said, 89 is too fast for everywhere.
