I remember last year's training videos where he couldn't muster the effort to do the drills right even with coach yelling NICHOLAS! to him.
It showed when he got his chances to run during the season also. Doubt he'll do much this year either.

behind 2 elite backs should have us concluding that he isn’t SEC worthy.
Really three very good to elite RB's in Fournette, Guice and Williams. He's shown flashes of good speed like in the Missouri game a few years ago, but we really have not seen what he can do regularly.

I think you’re making that up

Nick’s older brother died just before Nick got to LSU. Can’t remember how the brother died, but the older bro gave up a chance to play college ball to provide for the family after their mom got cancer. I remember that being the reason Nick gave for crying on the sideline after fumbling one of his first (if not the first) carries as a freshman. Said he plays for his brother.
I’ve actually never seen the Troy fumble, missed the beginning of the game. Did he cry then too?

I am getting an uneasy feel that reminds me of Les Miles playing players he likes, vs the best we have.
Les Miles did not do this.He always played the one he thought gave him the best chance of success. There are dozens of examples of Les playing a freshman over upperclassman.
The reason you think Les did this is because you often assume the second string guy is the answer, and the coach's stubbornness is the only thing keeping you from having a championship team to root for.

Sounds like something a woman would say. Are you a woman?

Couldn’t agree more with your assessment.

He's only fumbled twice at LSU and lost one of those, it just happened to be in the troy game after a 5 yard pickup.
He is averaging 6.7 yards per carry in 46 carries.
Averaged under 5 YPC in only 3 of the 18 games he has appeared in. 4 carries for 13 yards (3.3 YPC) against AUburn in his freshman year, 1 carry for 3 yards Vs Syracuse in 2017, 6 carries for 25 yards (4.2 YPC) vs A&M in 2017.
Throw in 12 tackle on special teams, 3 solo with 1 fumble recovery.
I think he gets undeserved bad press on this board.

But the kid has 40+ carries and 4 fumbles
Link? He has 2 fumbles, unless I missed something, and lost only 1 of those.

If you're gonna dog an LSU player, try to get your facts straight at least.

You dont have the W-L record Miles had against top 10 teams and play for 2 National titles playing favorites at a school like LSU.
The ceiling for Brossette is to lead the team in carries barely. The floor is he gets beat out by CEH and at least 1 other player and rarely sees the field, when it matters. As a Sr., I hope he gets touches and contributes this year, but its doubtful that he will be a difference maker.
