He’s quicker through the hole than people realize. He has wked very hard on getting bigger so he can handle the grind. No
One deserves it more than him. CEH is a bowling ball who runs 4.5 with elite cutting ability. He’s also great n the flat with scneeens. Otherwise NB would be number 1. He will suprise some people this year. He just needs to convince the coaches that he can protect the ball

I get that but I think someone close to him had just died.

He averages over 6.5 YPC.

That’s pretty good. He also won’t be full time RB, but he has skills to contribute.

I’m not nearly as worried about RB as some are.

No one predicted Justin Vincent Joe break out like he did, let’s see what happens. He had that one fumble against Troy, he is going to surprise some people this year

The best ones are much more patient than to get to that speed before they cross the LOS

I feel like he has a great shot at being our starter if he holds onto the ball. But when you get associated with fumbling the football, its truly hard to come back from that. I do think he gets a chance this year, and if he does well he could be drafted.

He runs like Le’Veon Bell, except without the vision. So a slow back with no vision

One comment i read "he is slow to the hole" NO WAY.....

Slow to the hole makes you last a lot longer. In more ways than one.

JV was a huge recruit out of HS so starring his freshman year wasn't a surprise.

My dad and i were talking about him and there were many occasions watching the game that i said "he runs like Marcus Allen" No one gets a clean KILL SHOT on him..

You think Nick Brossette runs like an NFL hall of fame running back?

Also, when were these occasions? Has he ever really had meaningful carries in a game? Aside from Troy of course

Recruiting evaluation in HS

Brossette is a bigger back who can run downhill and move the chains. He sees the field well, he lets the blocks set up, and he runs with patience. He lets the holes open up, then he hits them with good speed. He is not considered a speed back, but a back with power, a back with good sudden quickness, and a big that can carry his team. He can get to the perimeter as well, but he is at his best between the tackles. - Chad Simmons

LSU BIO

Enters fourth season with the Tigers and in line for more playing time this year as the leader of the running back group ... Talented local product who has shown the ability to bulldoze over would-be tacklers but also has the shiftiness to cut runs outside ... Louisiana high school record holder for most rushing touchdowns in a four-year span with 141, breaking the previous mark of 118 touchdowns held by former LSU running back Kenny Hilliard ... Has played in 35 games with one start … Leads all active LSU players in rushing yards with 306.

Brousette owns the record for the most rushing TDs in Louisiana highschool history...but has yet to score a rushing TD for LSU.

How is a recruiting evaluation from 4 years ago pre knee injury relevant? What’s his LSU BIO gonna say, that he’s slow and not explosive?

But the kid has 40+ carries and 4 fumbles. That's 10 percent of his carries.

Damn , guess i never put that together. Not sure about O, but Les would never let him see the field again.

Too much Risk, not enough reward IMHO

you should know what i mean, yes be patient and let the blocks happen to open the hole, but once the hole is opened you hit that hole like soldier coming back home from a tour..

Bottom line is we just don’t know
I know he’s a senior and still not gonna make a difference.
It’s not that he fumbled against Troy, it’s that he had a big hole and then ran right into the safety, who form-tackled him. Gotta be better than that.
