I like Deggs but I don’t think he has the resume to be considered at LSU at this time. Think he will do well there though.

Deggs wouldn’t even be on this list if he wasn’t at ULL. I’m going to say it again, the next HC does not need to have any ties to LSU or Louisiana.

I wonder if there is a good minor league coach or scout out there, like Andy Cannizaro, who could become the next big name that we can go out and hire.

You wanna hire a scout to be the head coach?

I’m glad you didn’t say Bakich. Seems like a potential flash-in-the-pan.

Corbin and /or Brown from Vandy? Their Opportunity Vanderbilt financial aid is tough to complete with. They are getting truly elite players/pitchers on full rides or deep discounts.

Scott Brian would be my choice.

I like Tim Tadlock, too, but isn’t he a Texas Tech alum?

Only way we could pull Brown is if he wants to run his own program. No way Corbin is leaving that gig.

I have a better chance of landing a 20 year old supermodel at 40 & fat than Andy having another chance at LSU

Lol ok.

Exactly how do these translate in your head?

You would rather hire a young energetic scout to run our program instead of an established winning head coach that’s proven he can win?

Don’t dig yourself further man

His hitting coach & recruiting coordinator James Ramsey is a stud. Young, smart, energetic. Former all American & 1st rd pick out of FSU

At the forefront of new batted ball technology & swing coaching. He has a plan & that’s what LSU is lacking right now.

Why?

Because he won a NC?

Starting with 2000:
13 regionals
2 super regionals
1 CWS, 1 win

LSU since 2007:
3 regionals
3 super regionals
5 CWS appearances, 1 win, 1 runner up

Not sure teaching how to win a CWS is gonna be his specialty.

It has already been Decided. It's going to be Brian O'Connor from Virginia. Met a guy the other night who had Paul in his wedding and he said when he retires he already got a guarantee from LSU that they would hire him.

Yes. Would take some big time money to pull him away IMO. Corbin.....you can forget it.
