We didn’t fricking overachieve

Outside of Georgia, who we beat at home coming off a loss we shouldn’t have had, we didn’t beat anyone worth a damn

Miami and Auburn were straight shite

And on top of it all, we are now losing to a&m

Where did we overachieve???

LSU hasn't lowered any of the cost to fans.

Costs haven't lowered for teams much worse than LSU either. If costs were reflective of reasonable expectations, then Tennessee should be expecting to win national title every year.
quote:

Why should we expect less than that? Why should we lower our expectations?

because it's not realistic to expect to win the west right now. There's no problem having that be the ultimate goal, but reasonable expectations and goals aren't the same thing.

This isn't about why or whose fault it is that we are where we are, but alas here we are all the same. We are not the same program we were from 2003-2013.

If you don’t think there is a direct correlation between excellent recruiting and excellence on the field the there is nothing I can say that you will understand.

Where did he say any of that? He said you dont have to beat Alabama in recruiting to be able to compete with them. Other teams manage to compete with them some of them even beat them.

The discrepancy in LSU/Bama's o-line/d-line is the direct result of the outcomes in the games

I just have to disagree.

Why can so many other teams at least score on them and we couldn't? Is our recruiting worse than most teams they played this season?

quote:

The score was respectable but don't fool yourself, Bama could have scored as much as they wanted to on Oklahoma

Well I seem to recall OU put up 35 on them.

Agree. I had 9-3 as a floor

Those who predicted 6-6, 7-5 should be thrilled though

Why is it not realistic to expect to win the west? Or to even compete to win the west. Which currently we are not doing. You going to say because Saban is a machine yet they lost just last year to auburn

We do got a guy though that can win some games with a good running game and great defense. Don't get me wrong though, I'm happy to have him. There's just a gap in talent on the lines between us and Alabama. There's the issue.

We have come to the fact we can’t competr against Alabama, but this isn’t even all about Alabama. The Florida loss hurt us the most.. and to top it off, we aren’t even beating A&M now.

That’s not overachieving. We didn’t overachieve a damn thing.

We are 3 loss U.

Every team teams with attrition and injuries. Every single team. It’s called college football. We must do bettter offensively.

I would be perfectly happy just competing.. I would at least like to compete against Alabama, actually not get shutout at home in home games.

I would be perfectly happy if LSU was having Georgia level success. That’s where LSU can and should be. A one or two loss max team that is at least competiting for championships. No one is even asking for u defeated seasons.

I can’t stand that O went conservative against Florida, Alabama, and A&M. As well as the ND bowl game.

We were not good enough this year to expect that to be a realistic possibility. That's why.

Next year? The year after? Should we just bide our time until Saban retires and hope others in the West don't get better?

We were "competing" to win the west going into November this year...until we faced the team that is much, much better than everyone in the West. We lost that game, and Alabama won the west.

I say that because we do not have a good enough team, right now, to expect to win the west. We have to build our team back to what it was. We are not there yet.
