People are giving you actual football results to counter your argument that Divinity is simply average. You come back with opinion based preseason awards.

People lurking this thread think your take on this is dumb, for what it's worth.

yes, everyone is great which is why LSU lost 3 games, not everyone is great.

Of course not every is great especially the offense last year. However, Divinity was pretty close to great.

deaux,

I explained it, you just drink yellow koolaid, probably think its a big conspiracy. Everyone is great yet the defense wasn't GREAT, it was good... so who was average?

Literally, you act like I kicked your dog because I said a player was average, he didn't make all-american or even all-sec... what I am saying isn't so strange, that doesn't mean you have to agree.

Chaisson sucked last year. Outside of the first half of the first game you hardly even heard his number called.
Defensive line was the weakest unit. Secondary was excellent, though lacked depth. Linebackers were very good, but missed Chaisson.

Penrod,

Generally agree with that, other than the silly Chaisson comment. Inside LBs were good, OLB were average at best, if not bad at times. Thornton is clearly not a SEC type player, Anthony is borderline.

LSU's defense was good and solid, not great.

Chaisson almost fricking killed 2 men on the field last night

My observation of your analysis is you must’ve not watched the same game. They absolutely shut down a triple option team. As a rule of thumb these teams usually give good defenses trouble because they’re very hard to replicate and we held them to 98 total yards. 98

The CB’s & Safety’s weren’t tested in the air but they played very good in run support.

Nobody else thought he was great, which is why he is on none of the all-sec list or all-american lists.

You are confusing “not great” with “average”. Divinity is very good. He is not great enough to be named pre-season all sec, though. That doesn’t make him average.

Jenar Boy,

Generally agree, testing means... a complete test on the ground and air... its still a one dimensional opponent.

This is just wrong. We lost to A&M and Florida because of Aranda, we lost to Bama because...well ...Bama.

Based off what? We held Bama to one of their lowest point totals of the season. Statistically we were a top 10 Defense likely a top 5. If you are better than 99% of the rest of the NCAA I would say thats pretty great.

Sandperson,

I'm not going to agree or disagree to that, but you better watch out... people will be hunting you down for saying Aranda only did a good job last year. (literally, people are offended by saying someone is average is quite funny... if he was great, he wouldn't have come back.... great players don't come back, heck, many of the good players don't come back)

Greace,

How can being top 5-10 in defense be in the top 99% of the defenses there are only 126 teams at that level.

Dude, quit while you are behind. Each subsequent post you make in defense of your first gets worse. When in quicksand, quit struggling. You obviously know nothing about the game of football. All of your evaluations are terrible and incorrect.
