He is making as much or more here vs. MLB and he isn’t living out of a hotel for 6 months / 162 games a year. And he has full control of who is on his team here.

I’m not saying he won’t have an itch to manage in MLB but I am saying it is not inevitable.

MLB and NCAA are two wildly different jobs even though they are both baseball.

Im going to need to see some serious actual evidence and support LSU isn’t even competitive with other programs when it comes to total spend on baseball….

We're competitive but other SEC schools are definitely allocating more money to baseball now than we are.

Ok. Let me see it

Let me see a budget that shows other schools ahead of lsu

Total expenses spent by university (coaches salaries, etc)
Total rev share
Total scholarship allocation
Total NIL received

Vitello left partly because Tenn took some of his money for players and gave it to WBB, same situation here

If you’re going to put “definitely” in there it should be pretty easy to provide examples. I’m not sure I buy that. MS ST is the only one I know of that puts more of the Rev share in baseball than we do.

Then that’s dumb as shite on his part but I seriously doubt that had anything to do with it

There isn’t a baseball program out there that’s getting materially more than any other program via rev share

Amd it amounts to a few thousand dollars more….

Meanwhile, lsu lays 500k more to its baseball coach than state…. So, again, let’s see the actual reports showing other schools outspend lsu in total…..

It absolutely had something to do with it.

They took money already allocated to Landon Mack, who they had to fight tooth and nail to get out of the portal, and even stopped pursuing other guys to make sure the money lined up, and gave it to women's basketball.

It's not some nebulous, dollars on a balance sheet thing, it was an actual person they had committed money to that ended up getting rug-pulled.

And if you don't think that's going to piss off the head coach, I don't know what to tell you.

So, he was so angry his program didn’t spend more, so he went to a job where his organization gets bent over a barrel by its main rival in spending for players?

In your effort to be reductionist, you're shifting the argument to avoid the actual issue.

I mentioned an actual example where money was allocated and then reneged on.

That after he was already on campus his money was given to someone else.

Can you link me this

I just googled “Landon mack rev share money given to someone else” and nothing comes up.

Not doubting you 100% at the moment, but seems suspect

Can I link you to personal conversations I had with someone close to the situation? No, I can't.

Got it

Seems weird Tony V would be so upset at tenn over a player Tenn actually signed and is currently playing for Tenn

But here is the issue, same as you above, a lot of posters keep saying things like “lsu is being outspent” but not a single person can show a damn thing actually showing lsu being outspent on baseball….

It seems weird that he would be upset that money he secured for one of his players was then taken from him and given to women's basketball?

It actually seems untrue considering it isn’t anywhere to be found and he plays for Tenn right now

Ah okay. I guess nothing ever happens if there isn't an article on the internet about it.
