i think the real problem for App State is the after affects of playing LSU.

what is the record for LSU's opponents the week after playing LSU? or even weeks after?

Yeah, but you won't be able to hear the rest of the country cheering for you through the TV, but you will be able to hear 93,000 of Les's closest friends

Unless they come here amid all of the ESPN nat'l champion against nat'l champion hype, and we blow them out and embarass them on national TV.

I don't think that will happen, I think it's close til somewhere in the 3rd.

It won't be close. Home opener. Defending National Champions...the real National Champions. Tons of Appy State hype. Non stop replays of the blocked FG vs Michigan. Les.

It would not surprise me if both Hatch and Lee throw 3 TDs each and Les call off the dogs in the 3Q.

I think this is going to be a much closer game than people think. Appy State has been geting geared up for this all summer...and it's not like they are a bad team. I just think that by the 3rd quarter or so they are going to run out of juice, LSU is just too big/fast/deep for a team like Appy to be able to play 4 full quarters.

Though I would like to see them play Vandy.

To say that App. St. has balls for scheduling LSU bullshite. They are playing LSU for one reason, a big pay day. They realize they will get the shite beat out of them, but will come away with funding the athletic budget.

In the first week alone:
1. Charleston Southern @ Miami
2. Youngstown St. @ Ohio St.
3. McNeese @ North Carolina
4. Western Illinois @ Arkansas
5. Chattanooga @ Oklahoma
6. Georgia Southern @ Georgia
7. Coastal Carolina @ Penn St.

So, all of these teams have balls, or just need cash? And, I'm a big fan of 1-AA, it's just the facts.

We don't realize we will get the crap beat out of us. Could happen especially if Miles does his job though. The truth is that we needed a game cause our own FBS schools won't play us. Just so happens that the top tier teams are willing to play us. Don't get me wrong we have to have a big money game too but we used to have those and REALLY get killed. Don't think for a minute that Les isn't glad to see a spread offense before he plays Auburn. AND there ain't no way that your two QB's pass for 6 touchdowns...You might run for 6 but you certaintly won't pass for 6. We are a better team than most of the cupcake D-1 schools people play on Day 1.

I agree 100% with most of that. There is no doubt that the top 5 or so 1-AA schools are much better than a 1/3 of 1A. I believe that App St. could make a game with good mid-majors. To say that no one will play App. St. is hard to believe. I know for a fact that McNeese would.

But, the bottom line is that this game was for the money.

I think that there is a difference between App, Wofford, Delaware, teams like that and the rest of D1AA.

It's just the same as FBS. There are teams like OSU, LSU, UM etc and then there is everybody else.

Even though we are D1AA, none of the teams ooc will play us. We've had to go to D2 just to find people besides D1.

Again, I agree with you on the competition standpoint. But, you can't say no one will play you. Over the last 10 years McNeese has had series with Georgia Southern, Portland St., Youngtown St., Western Kentucky, and Northern Iowa to name a few. Many of these schools will play you.

Does Verge Ausberry schedule for yall too? It's all about the money.

We've offered home and home series to the top tier schools in 1-AA (Travel is an issue because of cost). Youngstown won't play us. D-1 schools, mid majors won't play us. East Carolina won't play us. South Carolina won't schedule us. We talk to everyone. That's why we have to schedule jacksonville and presbyterian.

Mcneese ST is so overrated. But back to App State/LSU game. My teacher graduate from LSU and he's a Tiger Dieheart. He expressed concerns for LSU more than App State. He believes the fact that LSU doesn't know as much about APP State as APP State knows about LSU is scary, when you consider the types of players that are on their team. App State isn't looking at this game just as a check, they're going in believing they can win. App State is ALOT better than you ppl know.
