Nice win. Sweep Liberty and get some momentum rolling into the SEC tournament. Would think we need at least a sweep and 2 SECT wins if we want a national seed.

Just left game
Syd was awesome today. I watched the arky pitcher warmup and she was nothing special for a P5 div 1 pitcher yet she shut us down. Arky coach shoulda left her arse in. We beat one of the camenzimd twins. Amanda Scarborough works with her. Hitting was gawd awful. Beth is a real good pitching coach and she had great pitch sequencing with Sydney. But she has issues in other areas. Y’all know.

Agree, the bottom line is Torina messed up hiring a hitting coach and then not allowing him to coach hitting now they are dog crap…Dobson has done the best he can he just isn’t any good and to make matters worse you got Sandra Simmons coaching hitters in the dugout. This is poor management and the reason why many women coaches only coach softball and would be huge failures in the private sector…3 coaches coaching hitting what a freaking joke…that’s what I saw today with the merry go round coaching at 1st base..

Yep..she should be a pitching coach…I didn’t realize that they have 3 hitting coaches not 1…. Starting to realize what some of you are saying

I mean we have sputtered at the end of the season a few times and got a national seed due to our RPI. Win five more games or so and given the committee’s history we have a good chance at getting a top 8 seed.

That’s also asking a lot to win 5 more games

liberty is solid and we are obviously struggling in conference play.

I think they either win 2 or lose 2 vs Liberty and out in rd 1 in sec tournament then out in regionals. I have been blinded I guess because I want LSU to win but my buddies who care less said this is dead team with no emotion it makes sense..the question is why does this happen every yr since 17??

I’ll state the obvious: Beth Torina is extremely comfortable to the point of not feeling a need to make any adjustments and grow as a coach.

She seems pretty un phased with Howard Dobson putting out another terrible product. I’m sure the Louisville kid is in despair

would be a little surprised if he didn’t leave at this rate.

I will call a couple travel coaches in Houston to see if they have heard anything…. Cant speak for him but most hitting ppl want to be THE one not have 3 in your hitters ear..who thinks that works anyway?? I would anticipate him looking around assuming nothing changes at LSU

I would agree with casualobserver by suggesting Neal be assigned to what he was hired for.

When you’ve been this bad at hitting for so many years there is obviously an underlying theme, but I’ll spare beating a dead horse

You do realize the head coach sets the tone, sets the culture and assigns responsibilities..that goes in all sports from Football on down

We basically hired an offensive coordinator and made him the special teams coach. No matter how you spin it, the decision is insanely idiotic

He should be the hitting coach, and Dobson should be the hitting coach at a middle tier ACC program like Louisville instead.

I sure hope Simmons isn't teaching technique. Although she was a decent, not great hitter, she may have had the worst swing I've ever seen. Looked like she was throwing a spinner bait.
