What?? Smith is good enough to beat anyone. She is a top tier starter and worthy of a start against all comers.

I didn't say she wasn't. My point is to use Smith so that you dont have to use Walljasper or Hoover on the first day and allow UL-Lafayette to chart pitches during our game

They are only scary because the SEC was over seeded. When 5/8 SEC regional hosts lose all you SEC pumpers will say, wow, those were really tough regionals. Well, no shite, when obviously better teams get lower seeds that's what will happen.
So sick of the SEC / ESPN bullshite. Can't wait till that company dies.

I am not saying teams weren't over seeded but who should be hosting? Ole Miss has an RPI of 18 and was rewarded a 12 seed, Utah and Kentucky were extremely questionable. Those were the absurd ones to me.

Minnesota should be hosting. I like James Madison but schedule wise I am not sure they are completely deserving. I know the Big Ten isn't very strong this year but its still a major conference.

I definitely think there was significant over seeding but its clear that SOS is a major factor. I am sure a lot of teams could have really nice records with some of the lighter schedules. I am not saying ULL, JMU aren't really good teams, they are.

I hear what you're saying, but RPI is a very flawed system. If all of the SEC teams begin the year with high RPI's then of course playing each other will mantain those RPI's throughout the season, win or lose.
Ole Miss had a losing conference record! A LOSING conference record and is hosting. Does that make sense? Minnesota played 14 home games to 40 road games and only lost 3. They are a 2 seed. ??.

What I have found out is that Yvette Gerard has a "phenomenal" word vocabulary. "Just" phenomenal.

I agree. I was bitchin the other night when we learned Minnesota didn't host and yes they played a ridiculous amount on the road. Personally, I think Minnesota should have Utahs spot. Yall should have Kentucky's spot. If Ole Miss is to host it needed to be at like 16 max. I like James Madison a lot but I don' think their schedule warranted a host even though they are a good team. I will say the sun belt is actually pretty good. Is it the best out there? No but it certainly has a lot of really good teams. the cajuns success this year in a conference to me definitely deserves a host spot.

I believe in strength of schedule but a losing conference record should not be hosting. Ole miss winning the tourney did not warrant a host spot.

Absolutely, because this staff did not develop Landry, Jaquish, Andrews, or Bell. Their swings are the same as when they arrived on campus. Also, "changing" their swing seems excessive. The key is adjusting and teaching a kid what she is good at and what she is bad at, because I promise you the other SEC coaches realize real quick where the hole is and that's where they throw. Plate discipline is a huge factor and isn't taught much it seems.

Looks like Dobson will have his work cut out to work with Doyle and Springfield. Doyle didn't look exceptional on her at bat. Hopefully she can do better next at bat.

I would think Fairfield is sky high right now because it is only a 2 run lead.

Hope their is more runs in the near future.

You talk like you have an inside link to Beth and this team. The truth is you don't know squat. You are throwing your opinion around like everyone else. So I will throw my opinion at you. Dawson has no future under Beth. Beth can't properly evaluate talent other than pitchers. She got lucky with Landry and Jaquish. Other than those two she has no idea what she's doing. She's playing two of the worst position players in the SEC and she has a highly recruited 3rd baseman playing first (Doyle) and a highly recruited shortstop (Dawson) on the bench. Beth has said publicly that Dawson is the future. How does she have a future with two of the worst position players (Quinn & Sanchez) in the SEC playing every single game instead of her. Serrett was injured and Beth did not want to put Dawson in at short. She has such little confidence in her that she was going to put Jaquish at short if she had to. So Beth is a liar. Dawson has no future at LSU. It makes me wonder if Dawson will even return next year or go and play somewhere else. What a huge loss that would be for us. She won so many national awards and is so talented but has not been given an honest chance. This could come back and bite Beth in the a$$. I wouldn't be shocked if 2 or 3 players transfer to get away from Beth and her horrible coaching philosophy. Beth is great with pitchers but that's the end of her abilities. Dawson IS a major asset to this program but isn't being used properly.

Bell, Simmons, Kloss?

Serrett was fine, a little knicked up but could still play. The only position Dawson can play is 2B.

We get it, you want Beth fired.

Nice alter,

If this is true then we have some real problems on this team, much deeper than the outsiders know.

How do you know this? I heard she was unable to practice the whole week and was noticeably limping against Fairfield. If she didn't practice this week then who took balls at SS leading up to the regional?

The only position Dawson can play is 2B

Again, what are you basing this on? I'd bet just about anything Dawson would NOT have 14 errors at SS this year, 15 errors at 3rd base and would be hitting 100 point higher than Serrett or Sanchez if she could get a shot to play. This doesn't even take into consideration how much better she is on the base paths than both. Serrett has a great arm but that is where it ends when it comes to SS.
