The more you make them throw, you start seeing drop in velocity, more mistake pitches (mental fatigue), less spin on the ball. Small things happen that allow hitters to be more successful

Yep, just like Texas Tech yesterday. They scored 4 runs in the first inning and then ZERO the next 12 innings. The drop in velocity, mistake pitches and less spin on the ball really allowed their hitters to be more successful.

If the game had gone 20 innings they may have scored another run. Advantage Texas Tech.

My pitcher threw 117 pitches on Friday night in semifinals. We won 3-0 over 4 time defending champs. So many pitches under stress as the opponent left 10 on base including 2nd / 3rd with no outs in 6th and bases loaded with one out in the 7th.

After the game, I asked her how she felt about the championship game yesterday at noon. "I want the ball, Coach!"

So she threw 89 pitches with 11 Ks in our 3-2 state championship victory.

She was in fact, better yesterday than Friday... last 6 pitches were swing and misses..

Yes, they can throw multiple days in a row and some thrive in that situation.

Once again, Softball needs replay because that’s two missed calls today.

Wrong runners on second when there is a hit.

I am not saying don't be aggressive early in the count but the first two innings were bad. 11 pitches 6 outs

Half those pitches we tried to hit weren't hitter friendly pitches.

Swinging at good pitches is the important part.

You are a coach and know as well as anyone. I was a coach but the pitch count never came into play for me. But before that I kept up with Debbie Nicholls and USL enough to know that you don't wear out college softball pitchers.

If anything the pitchers get stronger the longer they go. You do not wear them out. That is baseball, not softball.

Should have seen the South Carolina game. Two calls at the end made all the difference for FSU. Drotar was safe at home and the fsu runner at third was out should have ended the inning. Blue called her safe. Next batter drove in two runs what a crock.
