Because getting 6 outs on 12 pitches does not wear down a pitcher who threw 155 pitches yesterday. Work the count, wait for her to make a mistake. If you can’t hit with one and two strikes you don’t belong in college.

With a great regular season against some of the best teams in the country and winning against them, suddenly the best of the lineup can't square up on this pitcher who maybe be down at number 50 on the pitching list.

I notice some commentators still try to compare this offense to the 2015 one. But there is no contest.

That team had Bell, Jaquish, Landry, Kloss, Simmons, AJ Andrews

Before LSU had a softball team I used to follow Southwestern Louisiana. Yvette Girouard was the head coach and they had one pitcher - Debbie Nicholls. She pitched double headers, extra innings, games after weather delays.

You don't wear down a pitcher in softball. That is why both team's pitchers threw over 170 pitchers yesterday. If they wore down they would have pulled them.

This is not baseball. Softball pitchers can go all day and again tomorrow. Over 170 pitches. Erin Edmoundson of TX Tech threw 176 pitches. Shelbi Sunseri threw 179. At what point where they supposed to "WEAR DOWN"?

I would love to see you face either one of these pitchers. Love to see you show them up getting hit after hit after hit and not even exerting yourself.

Softball players can throw more and not have the wear and tear on their bodies like baseball does which is why they can continue to go.

The more you make them throw, you start seeing drop in velocity, more mistake pitches (mental fatigue), less spin on the ball. Small things happen that allow hitters to be more successful
