Yeah right now, Springfield and Schlattman will be run on. I’m curious about CC. She definitely looks natural

We need to make sure Springfield is rolling,

we all know how capable she is. She has played more difficult competition and had success.

Schlattman is having a slow start offensively. Its weird, I assumed she would be putting up a little bit better numbers. I think it will all click soon. She is as powerful as Doyle.

I still want to see much more of Antoine. She I think can add the most to this team in RF

Grindz on the Ultimate Softball discussion forum says it was communicated at the park that Gorsuch is under suspension. No idea what that is all about.

I’ve heard it’s a minor one. I’m not really sure though. I’ve also heard she’s greatly improved so I can’t wait to see her back in it!

Um Not one person is suspended. That's a complete lie.

I was told before the opener a few players were battling minor injuries/aches, wasn't told specifically who, this probably included MB.

Because MB hadn't played yet it has to be some precautionary thing at this point for something minor. A lot of times pitchers get sore arms and other little tweaks.

I think Beth has to be resting MB. MB will be a major player for this team this season, can't afford to lose her

Caccamise is definitely our best defensive catcher plus its her natural position. Very solid arm.

Don't know what game you were watching but the one throw down that Caccamise had to 2nd last night was a rainbow throw. Even Lynn Rollins noted that the throw wasn't the strongest. Unless she was trying to lull the runners into thinking she has a weak arm, I see a need to improve on her part.

Ump definitely had an expanded zone for Hoover last night. The ULM zone seemed smaller which led to a lot of walks by the their pitching staff.

This team will go as far as the sr pitchers take them. They have been in the big pressure packed moments of big time games. With a healthy Hoover it may be the best staff LSU has had for a run this year.

The other two will be the future and still get some work this season.

I'm back!! Been dealing with helping my cousins get everything done for the funeral of my 100 year old uncle who was my mentor as a coach. I watched him and my father play fastpitch softball when I was a kid and I started liking it then more than baseball. Plus also coaching as we started on the blue turf yesterday. Lost a close game 3-2, but did a lot of things well.

No California trips this year-- our head coach has me doing most of the non-district scheduling because I have all 1251 head high school softball coaches on my email list and I can get games for everyone on our website. So we are playing in 3 weekend tournaments in a row starting tomorrow.

I'll be in town for the Auburn series before I go to Florida to watch the Astros at Spring Training.
