Perfect example of the angry white male that Don Lemon was referring to.
I disagree with your comment about the pitching that LSU will see when they start play in the SEC. Moss (1.14 era) and Arnold (1.43 era) at Tenn. are a potent 1, 2 combo. So is Harrington (1.44 era) and MacGrandie (1.42 era) at A & M. Both of these schools have played a pretty good schedule to date. Even Auburn's pitchers have decent era's (Carlson, 0.64 and Martin, 1.52 era) though I note that Auburn has played their normal early season cupcake schedule. LSU will struggle with this pitching unless they make adjustments. More sooner than later.

Agree losing to Oregon and UCLA is not a big deal, but would have liked to seen games to gauge the gaps we have. Also have to think that traveling so far impacts us and those teams would be more beatable in OKC, hopefully we will get to find out!

No big deal? LOL. How about getting a clue pal. These 2 games exposed LSU for who they really are. Above average pitching but absolutely no hitting. They are going to struggle in the SEC against A & M, Tenn. Florida and even possibly Auburn with the offense they have. Your excuse about jet lag being the reason for getting spanked by UCLA and Oregon is laughable. The results would be the same if LSU played these teams in OKC or the west coast. When are you people going to take off those purple and gold glasses and see things for what they really are?
[quote]No one in the SEC we play outside of Barnhill will be near as good as the two pitchers we faced back to back days.[/quote
Good thing LSU doesn't play Alabama this year because Osario would absolutely own these hitters!

As ridiculous as this sounds to anybody that follows and understands big time softball, this is true. A 2017 first team all-american SS that transfers to Oregon and is starting at SS for the Ducks probably wouldn't be given the opportunity to start at SS for LSU.

You can hang it up Ashlyn. The vast majority of the posters on here are clueless as to the context of your post. So what if Sanders fielding percentage was higher and she had fewer errors. She is not as good as Serrett and never will be because Beth is the greatest coach ever. You do know that she has been to 3 straight WCWS don't you? Never mind that she inherited 2 AA pitchers in Fico and Mack when she got here and that Hoover fell into her lap. Never mind that her teams have always hit like crap and that pitching is what carried them to all of those WCWS appearances. You don't know what you are talking about. Sanders can only hit Sun Belt pitching. She couldn't hit SEC pitching like Serrett can. Now sit down and shut up because you don't know anything about softball. LSU will be great in 6 years when all of those middle schoolers get here. You will see.

Caccamise is definitely our best defensive catcher plus its her natural position. Very solid arm.

Don't know what game you were watching but the one throw down that Caccamise had to 2nd last night was a rainbow throw. Even Lynn Rollins noted that the throw wasn't the strongest. Unless she was trying to lull the runners into thinking she has a weak arm, I see a need to improve on her part.

Ump definitely had an expanded zone for Hoover last night. The ULM zone seemed smaller which led to a lot of walks by the their pitching staff.

You people are cancers Stay out of the softball threads this year, everyone will be much happier

I agree! Anyone who is a realist is not allowed to post anything in the softball threads.

Yeah, no chance at all that his defense attorney exaggerated about his i.q. in order to gain sympathy from the judge/jury.

You’re far from a voice of reason. You’re a voice of crap with an agenda. You must either be, or know, that educote clown. You most definitely sound like an armchair travel ball coach that thinks it knows more than a P5 college softball coach. Please list your credentials, other than your HoF travel ball coaching career...........

You obviously have reading comprehension skills. Went to public school by any chance? I never criticized the coaching staff or any of their decisions. My comments were and are directed at the absurdity of an individual rejoicing in the projected rankings of a recruiting class 5 years into the future. You can tout the class that you have received an NLI from but to state that you have the No. 2 2021 class as fact is ridiculous to me.

Jesus you are one miserable person, you people would be the first ones bitching if we our classes didn't rank well. The players we have committed have been extremely successful playing the top players in the country. Its not just coincidence that they are ranked well. Why can't our fans be excited that we landed the top players I don't know why you post in these threads

LOL. I post because someone has to be the voice of reason here. Who is the more miserable person? The one who brings a little bit of sanity or the person who gets excited and has to make a post every time that a 12 year "commits" to LSU softball. I don't give a rats arse about rankings. All I care about is how they perform once they get on campus. Ask Less Miles and Ed Orgeron how many Natties all of those highly ranked players have won for LSU the past few years.

One more thing about these rankings. I have had occasion over the past few years to visit with Brentt Eads who runs FloSoftball. He confessed that he hasn't actually seen many of the girls that he has ranked play and has instead relied upon information provided to him by travel ball coaches (a real unbiased source), high school coaches (another unbiased source) and confidential conversations with college coaches (a more reliable source than the former 2). These "rankings" that you tout serve no other purpose than to get people like yourself to fork over the $60/year subscription fee to FloSoftball.

LSU's classes under Torina 2012:19 2013: 16 2014: 11 2015: 17 2016: 2 2017: 13 2018: 8 2019: 6 2020: 2 2021: 3 2019, 2020, 2021 is filled with a lot of power hitters as well.

You do realize that these are merely predictions based upon a subjective ranking system? I find it hilarious that you are touting these ranking like they are fact. These girls haven't even signed a LOI yet but woohoo!, we got the No. 2 ranked 2020 class and the No. 3 class in 2021. Looking forward to sitting down in 2025 and counting all of the Natties that LSU has from these classes.

Don't pretend to know me or what my username means, douchebag.

Ha Ha. Why do you think I would want to know you? Sunshine pumping, cheerleaders getting all excited about an 8th grade commit are definitely not anyone that I want to know anything about. Whose the real douche bag now?

Checks out. Get the frick off the recruiting board, why don't ya?

Not a chance frat boy.
Since everyone is providing insight on LSU's roster, here is my take on the returning players.
Hoover - Solid. Lots of upside.
Walljasper - Solid. Lots of upside.
Gorsuch - Solid. Lots of upside.
Doyle - Solid. Lots of upside.
Springfield - Solid. Lots of upside.
Sanchez - Solid. Lots of upside.
Andrews - Solid. Lots of upside.
Griggs - Solid. Lots of upside.
Serrett - Solid. Lots of upside.
Thornhill - Solid. Lots of upside.
Dawson - Solid. Lots of upside. (If she stays!)
Thornhill - Solid. Lots of upside.
Cunningham - Solid. Lots of upside.
Weinberger - Solid. lots of upside.
Thymes - Solid. Lots of upside.
Loupe - Solid. Lots of upside.
Freshmen:
Antoine - Solid. Lots of potential.
Sunseri - Solid. Lots of potential.
Caccamisse - Solid. Lots of potential.
Goff - Solid. Lots of potential.
Serious question. If Hemphill had decided on LSU instead of Bama, would Beth play her being that she is a La. kid or would she sit like the other La. girls?
You haven't posted anything for a while. Got any updates on recruiting or on the team. Fall ball should be starting up pretty soon. What freshmen will be competing for playing time?
You would never see anybody on a Nick Saban coached team doing something like this yet it happens all the time on a Les Miles coached team. Just saying!!
This guy will get PAID in civil damages unless earlier video is available.

You're an alter, trolling POS and are adding nothing to the conversation besides calling someone a douchbag. Seems like thats the biggest word you know. Kindly GFY

Ha ha douchebag. Your posts reek of that made by a liberal plaintiff's attorney looking for a big payday. I would much rather FU than myself but I am sure that it is pretty crowded up there right now and I would have to stand in line and take a number. By the way, it's spelled "douchebag" not "douchbag" as you incorrectly do. I thought that you would surely know this as many times as you have been referred to as this during your lifetime.
