She is pretty much illegal every pitch. I don't think she ever has a shot to be an ace because of this reason. Umps could technically call it every single time.
I like MB as well but it is what it is. The umpires are not doing their jobs if they aren't calling it IMO.

They should just let them leap. Mounds are always shite (especially in travel ball). Just adopt international rules.

Very true 357 and I scratch my head when I see her still doing this.
Many umpires may call it once and leave it alone, especially in the SEC where Barnhill and Monica Abbott got away with it every pitch. So the others get called once and not worry, but these aren't SEC umpires

I don’t watch a lot of softball but why does Beth put her on the mound knowing she has trouble with her delivery? Basically giving free balls/walks away.

Barnhill is a different type of illegal. She does have a small hop as well but she replants which gives her a bigger advantage. Not only is she closer to the plate, ball is coming in fast with less reaction time by the hitters.
