Do you really think there's a chance Woodward could make a move after this year with another early exit? I've read that the recruiting class coming in is really good with that number 1 pitcher. Is that worth the wait on a change? What are your thoughts 357? Everyone else is winning championships at LSU now.

I said no earlier in the week but the way they playing and looking like a jr high team, errors, running into each other, no passion, no apparent desire and really coaching 101 errors I think SW might pull the trigger unless they get to a Super Regional. That only delays the inevitable though because their roster is awful next yr and losing record will be possible

We do this same song and dance every season. Beth has a good OOC showing, the fans who think she is above scrutiny come out to crow, and we collapse when it counts.
Who cares if Howard Dobson is respected in the profession? I don’t think any serious person would blame LSU for letting him go. We can’t do any worse considering the talent we have.
I just don’t understand why Beth Torina is so unwilling to grow and change. This was excusable 8 years ago but she isn’t an up and comer anymore. Part of what made her exciting was the promise of growth and you could argue she’s regressed as a coach.

Keep the new coach and good gosh allow him to coach hitting not sit out there like an ornament and coach 1st base. Go hire 2 more from OUTSIDE the program enough of friend hires….

I doubt we could pull Gasso from UO, but maybe she wants a new challenge and $$$$$$$$$ talks. (Everybody said we couldn't get Mulkey away from Baylor, but here she is)

I just thought about it taking nearly an entire extra season and some change before she could catch Yvette in wins at LSU.
I understand the sec has gotten much better over the years, but you would think we’d have won at least one sec championship over the years at this point.
There shouldn’t be a sport at LSU besides cross country, swimming, and volleyball that should go 15 years without a sec championship. Track is unique too due to the scoring methods and even track sneaks up on Arkansas at times.
I hate feeling this way about Torina because I used to be such a huge fan, but this has gotten out of hand. Softball is one of the best supported sports at lsu from a facility and budget standpoint. If track had the budget and top 5 facilities softball has they’d have more championships.

I’ve seen you catch some scrutiny regarding that but I agree. I think it’s bizarre Beth hired a very promising hitting coach and proceeded to not tell Dobson to take a hike.
Imagine how bad this team would be if Leftwich were still here

I have no idea why hire a hitting coach if you aren’t going to move the existing hitting coach, it’s not fair to either really whether they are any good or not. I would assume one or maybe both will leave after this season, personally I think new energy is needed in Baton Rouge so if you keep the new guy replace everyone else because what has been going on recently isn’t working. Could it be this class of seniors? That is possible, it has been the worse class in her 12 yr career but 12 yrs is a long time with same staff so if BT stays hire at least 2 new ppl.

I noticed Beth gave a huge shoutout to Dobson for helping her surpass Yvette, even though it took 1 1/2 extra seasons to even catch Yvette with no sec titles and the longest drought we’ve ever had not making the WCWS.
For half a decade I’ve jumped on the board for a few minutes to roast Dobson, and I quit paying any attention for a few seasons. Was dumb enough to put stock in them this year
It’s time Beth goes. She’s had plenty of top 10 classes. Next year’s top 3 class won’t save her either.
