You said the "SPREAD" is a "phylosophy". I think you meant philosophy, but I'm starting to think your not all there.

There's LITERALLY A TE AND HB IN ALMOST ALL THE FORMATIONS YOU JUST LINKED.

So if we don’t run a spread offense, what kind of offense do we run?

We run a variation of the spread. It’s just that most people think that shotgun is the only spread formation.

LN probably another Brandon Harris, Jordan Jefferson, Anthony Jennings....only say this bc they all had accuracy concerns.....maybe they go with both next year, a dual threat....but my guess is what I said up top about LN

This is so dumb I don't know where to start.

In 3 of Jefferson's seasons he had a better comp pct than Matt Flynn in 07
In 15 Harris had a 60% or better comp pct in 5 of 8 Sec games
Did Jarrett Lee not have accuracy problems?

If Narcisse doesn't get hurt he's being compared to Perriloux without the baggage.

its not a matter of who is "better"....it's who fits Canada's style of offense, and in this case, it probably is Narcisse.

I don't know who will be better in 2 years, but right now, Brennan is better. When has Narcisse played last? He will most definitely play in 2018 and who knows what the situation will be by the bowl game since Etling is battling injury. When is the last time we were excited about having to competent QB's? Good bye to the Miles drought.

I get that so many of you think the dual threat QB is the most dangerous player in college football, and to a certain extent you’re right. What none of you seem to get is just how rare those players are. Not every dual threat kid is going to be Deshawn Watson or Cam Newton or even Jalen fricken Hurts (who doesn’t run a spread offense FYI). The most dangerous player in college football a QB who can throw AND run. If they are inaccurate or can’t digest a defense, they won’t be worth a damn. The Deshawn Watson mold is the perfect college QB. Is LN that type of player or is he the Lamar Jackson type? If he’s the Lamar Jackson type, he’ll get demolished in the SEC with the defenses we have to play. If he’s the Deshwen Watson mold, then he could be very dangerous. Thing is, every report you hear about him says he’s an inaccurate passer. It’s extremely hard to teach accuracy.

Nah, "good" QBs aren't as rare as you think, what you mention are elite dual threats. And you're crazy on putting down Lamar. You put this guy in a Clemson or Ohio State offense, and they'd go undefeated, blowing the shite out of every opponent. This guy throws more passing TDs through the air in 5-6 games, than the typical LSU QB does in 12-13. SEC defense my arse, this ain't your granddaddy's SEC.

For you to say a good dual threat is rare, tells me that you don't pay enough attention to college football.

And yep, I do want a dual threat in a spread offense. I know Canada doesn't run one, and I've said before that I'd be waiting for a while, if ever. Thing is, Canada does run a lot of stuff that would be ridiculously more effective with a guy that could really run from the QB position. As I said before in other threads, I'd take a semi accurate QB who is a great runner, over just an accurate QB that doesn't have anything else.

Finally, show me all these reports that say, at LSU, he is inaccurate passer.

I will pick Narcisse and completely ignore the fact that Narcisse was an early entry and still got an RS and Brennan comes in in the fall and moves to number 2 on the depth chart.

Could someone really explain how to compare two QBs when we have only seen one play ?

I can understand discussing styles, but who is best ???

Having watched both in HS, I would say pre-second ACL tear Narcisse. I have no idea how mobile he is now.

make Brennan look like Met

Brennan is much more mobile than Met. He isn't the stationary statue that Met was though he isn't going to scare anyone with his running he still can move fairly well.
