None here typical LSU vs Auburn on the plains. I take the win all day long.

Unlike last year Awburn didn't quit and played there arse off.

Should the game have been this close? No. We have some things to work on and in the long run this game will help us a lot. I saw some sparks from Mett that I was really impressed with. He will only get better.

No reason to worry about the Saints. They just suck. Tigers are fine. They have weak pass protecting tackles and the QB is a poor decision maker. Other than that they are a great team. All teams have weaknesses, and I think the two mentioned here can be improved.

I'm not panicing yet but I'm more worried about games that I thought we would win easily.

Huge statement to get out of there with a win. When you play Auburn, especially at their place, throw out the records. Given the fact that we had 2 turnovers early that kept the crowd in it the entire time, we were still able to march down the field in the end to basically kill the clock. Then your defense comes through as it had all night

We do the same thing to them. In 2004, we lose the game at Auburn 10-9 - other than Virginia Tech, they put at least 3 touchdowns on everybody else - Tennessee (34-10), UGA (24-6), @Bama (21-13) - the rematch with Tennessee in the SEC-CG was 38-28. The 1-point win against LSU was, by far, the biggest scare to their undefeated season (of course we were coming off of the BCS 2003 season, but the 2004 team lacked the chemistry and superstars of the 2003 team). Their margin of victory over Bama was 8 and VA Tech in the Sugar was 3, but they beat everybody else by double digits.

"Throw out the records when LSU plays Auburn" is a very accurage cliche.

I am in with this crowd.

One of only two teams in college football that still control their own destiny.

Road win in the SEC always a plus.

The win was ugly, the game was slowed down. I still think we are a very good club and still a top 3 team. But we cant play like this at Gainesville.

And this wasnt the case of the team mot being fired up. Just Aubs came ready.

Our qbs play scared. Even flynn had his moments. Need to retool that position and coaching. Connor fricking shaw completed 20 strait passes.

Its the SEC and a typical SEC game especially on the road. Not in panic mode at this time.

We rushed for 182 yards and held them to 183 total yards. Our time of possession was great (33 minutes). Turnovers and penalties were our problem. These are things that can be fixed. I am not worried.

The fumble at the 2 effectively changed 7 to 2 points. So, that makes it 17 to 10. The fumble on their side of the 50 was, by an order of magnitude, Auburn's best play/opportunity - if that fumble doesn't happen, it's 17 to 3.

Give them credit for the drive to get the field goal and their defensive stubborness, but we dominated the game statistically (and evened the turnover battle with 2 picks). We missed a very makeable 34 yard field goal - we execute better on the "rush out and kick" play, it's 20 to 3 - close to the point spread, but Auburn's defense played very, very tough regardless of the fortunes.

This is what can happen on the road in the SEC to anybody, by anybody (except maybe Vandy).

Call me what you want but the O line got it handed to them last nite. They were knocked on their arse and didn't respond. The worst running defense in the SEC just shut down the vaughted Tiger running game. That to me is a concern. Think what Alabama will do to our running game if our O line doesn't grow some gonads. They looked scared last nite. Our tackles couldn't have had a worse game. Go back and watch the game again and watch our tackles. The Truth will set you free.

I never expected a cakewalk. Jorrdan Hare is a really tough place for us and I am excited about the win. Our defense played lights out and we had quite a few players out there on their first SEC road game. That said our oline has got to step up and we need to score in the red zone!

I think if we don't fumble deep in our own territory while up 9-0 ...we win going away.

if that fumble doesn't happen we win by atleast 3 TD s IMO. i have no idea why people are calling Mett and the play calling. the reason this game was close was because of turnovers and penalties. Although the o-line does need to step it up

2011 1st SEC game Miss St played us tougher than we expected. The next week we dominated a good West Virginia team at their home. Lots of football left to play it's one game at a time.

I don't panic. There is no reason to.

The ones who panic have been proven time and time again to be wrong. It's comical.

Not panicking at all because I can see how much more talent we have than every other team in the nation. Having said that, I have never liked the way that we play call up to our competition instead of our capability. We can obviously beat anybody, but you're just never sure if we will.

Does anybody else have the theory that the coaches don't fully trust Zach the way they trusted say, Flynn?
