Pitching could be better if we get the arms…how does our defense improve from one of the worst we’ve had here?

Move Thompson to 2nd base or outfield

The 3 worst defenders on the team (Berry, McManus, Doughty) are no longer on the team and you hope your shortstop gets better. If he doesn't, you likely have a top 100 guy who will come take his spot.

fire everyone, pull all schollys, self -impose a post season ban, cut the programs funding.

No sure, but that’s a legitimate concern. Johnson had really bad defenses at Arizona as well. Our defense lost us several games this year.

Berry leaving will help our defense and having some competition for thompson would help.

Oh, and a healthy milazzo

You're kidding yourself if you think Doughty is even close to one of the three worst. He made some killer plays at 2B.

He was second in the conference in errors, and that doesn't count the amount of 6-4-3 double plays we weren't able to turn due to his errant throws they just ruled as fielders choices.

Berry came around at 3B I thought. Hopefully made himself some more money.
