re: So what’s the reason we regressed after the Bama game?

This team really just wasn't very good. Came back down to reality after beating Bama. Got worn down by the end of the year

Not playing at home, emotionally drained, physically beat up, not having a qb that can read the field and find receivers, not having a strong running game, and lousy special teams play.

And the obvious depth issue. Other than that I agree with everything you said above.

Like so many others have said, depth was a critical issue. Team was worn down, over the cumulative effects of the season. You fix that by rotating guys in early in the year so our starters get a chance to breath. We couldn't do that this season.
Also, I do think they shot their load against Bama. Wasn't much left in the tank for anyone afterwards. Before you say "they looked fine against UAB", remember a home game against UAB isn't the same as a road game against an embarrassed Arkansas wanting redemption, or a pissed and humiliated A&M wanting to close the season on on a high note.
I think we got about as much out of this team as anyone had any right to hope for, and things will be better next year. People keep forgetting, this team was picked to go maybe 7-5, and not come close to challenging Bama on the field. We were lucky to win the Auburn game, and the Miss State game was looking rough for awhile too.

That would be a coaching failure correct

It's really not comforting to see that so many posters still swing from O's scrotum like trapeze artists.

We're not talking "we played too hard against Bama and needed a week off" exhaustion, we're saying "it's a grueling schedule and we don't have depth" exhausted. The type you need an offseason to recover from.

We were a very thin team to begin with, added physical toll on starting line, injuries, however major influences probably schemes for JD5 and HP40 neutralized both our already best efforts on both sides of the ball.

Arkansas - Flu + Arky gameplanned for JD well.
A&M - Looking ahead to SEC Championship.
UGA _ Injured QB and Georgia is the best team in the country.

The teams we played were able to shutdown Daniels ability to run when the receiver was covered.

Multiple reasons. Depth. Teams schemed against Daniels and he could not make quick enough reads and see the field. Wore down. Out physicaled at los

This why I am not optimistic with JD going forward unless he can generate a serious downfield passing game. The casual observer fans cant see this.

eams adjusted to what Perkins was doing. Put him in bad decisions and allowed for success. Additionally, lack of depth, and Georgia has that.
this and add the fact that after watching playbacks I recorded, there were times that the receivers did not run routes like they should have. They seem lazy at times. Its like they gave up when they saw Jayden running for his life. I would also add the fact that our offensive scheme was not creative. We did not throw much to the tightend beginning with the arky game. No bubble screen and not a lot of imagination in the run scheme.
