Woodward signs Ed to yet another super duper contract and rehires Bo. Ed keeps the buyout as a bonus.

I mean it’s a legitimate question. I know it’s extremely unlikely, but the uproar from fans to keep O would be hard to ignore.

Hell, that will be the case if we only win one more game, and you know which one that is.

They won't

And if by some act of God we do then we're still not in the NY6 which would've been mandatory after going 5-5

Then it’s proof to the next coach we are loaded.

This is the answer... also it helps with recruiting. It would prove that this place is still a good situation and with a good coaching staff we're closer to 19' than the product we've been seeing.

Woodward couldn't afford for this to go on much longer not with #12 OM this week. The more losses the better for him.

So, its a good place where the administration is undermining an active coach, and the coach tells them to fire him? Or the alternative where the administration allows a coach to keep coaching despite being fired and confronting the administration?

So... Ed is a bad seed and they allow him to stay or the administration is a bad seed and isn't going anywhere. And possibly they're all bad seeds.

Sounds great!

That’s not true. It would prove the kids didn’t want to play for O.

This will be a big distraction for the remainder of the season….for players and coaching staff.

On the contrary. The big distraction would be the conjecture every week if you did NOT announce it.

No. The ink is dry.

This isnt the Les Miles saga with pussyfart Alleva sitting at the big boy chair.

Think before you type dumb shite.

Yeah, they kept a fired coach around. When Les was gone, he was gone.

Except when he wasnt. He was out in 2015, then got carried off the field after he beat aggy so Alleva's charmin soft arse kept him around only for him to continue to frick it up and get legit fired 4 games into 2016

He wasn't out in 2015. Ed is still the coach.

If this happens, the new hc walks into a great situation. Let’s hope it happens.

Right, because they got soft. Which was my whole point. This AD isnt soft. His decision is made and the deal is done, regardless of how the remaining games play out.

Yea, I can read. Not sure what angle your going for here...

It would look good on O's resume if he decides to coach again.

You're probably the type that predicted LSU would lose to UF 51-20.
LSU will absolutely beat at least 1(if not more) out of Ole Miss, Ark, and A&M.
Obviously they will beat ULM.

See ya at the bowl game!

All you "what if we win out" posters, unrealistic hypothetical aside, fail to understand that this termination isn't just because of wins and losses.

We were the 1st 2 loss team to win a championship. Maybe we could be 1st 3 loss team to win a championship as well. Now that's wishful thinking but stranger things have happened. Beating Ole Miss is the start of the "parlay." Let it happen! As long as there is hope there is effort! Here's to another competitive Sat. afternoon! Fla. was AWESOME!

Would be awesome way for Corch O to go out! I am all for it.

I am also for new direction in 2022. NO interview of DC and then admitting it publicly, poor leadership handling of black players who were hurting (no matter your point of view) during social unrest in 2020, no blueprint of his own (Joe Brady's offense), and loose behavior about his role/image, built on coordinator carrousel model (costing LSU $!), etc.

Like Coach O alot. Still do. But time for change.
