You might as well say the best trio on the league because Jefferson is awesome and ain't slowing down. LSU hasn't had this many really good receiving threats in a long time.
2006 with Bowe, Davis, and Doucet. That was a fun year. Would have been much better if not for the refs.

I don’t know what we learned in this game, but I’m damn sure looking forward to what we learn in the next game.

14 different tigers caught passes...
how many times has that happened?

So what did we learn?
We have more quality running backs than we have footballs to distribute to them.

It seemed nobody liked the rpos at the end of the game that went for negative yards.
They will work, Brennan may have made the wrong read and maybe should have handed it off or even ran himself if it was joe he may have.
Just thought the rpo package was deep and it will work more often then not

The play they let defense through and then threw it over them reminded me of watching Drew Brees scorch defenses with that play.
Told my buddy: Now that looks like the Saints offense.

That about covers it.

Too soon to tell. With all due respect, Georgia Southern was completely inept. They were still running the triple option down 52 points. It’s not Like a big win against Miami or Oregon in years past. Next week in the real test.

Kicker looked perty good
True! And if Rosenburg does not make all American at punter, it's rigged.
Our kicking/punting used to be bad as our clock management. Funny how easy we forget the shanked punts and missed xps.

Marshall and Chase could be the best receiving duo in the sec. They are both really fricking good
Don’t forget Jefferson—he had the most total yards of any of our skill players. Oh yeah, our starting LT and MLB didn’t even fricking play. Wooooooooooo!!!!!!

That we can actually throw the ball inside the 10 yard line! Passing in the red zone was great to see.

We learned we looked good against a week opponent, and that is an improvement over past tiger teams. We will learn more next week. Texas has better athletes and coaching.

Offense, defense, STs were all good. No major weakness last night.
Would like to see the running game bust a couple open though.

We don't seem to have a weakness.
But, and this might be nit-picking, 33 runs for only 122 yds against Ga Southern is a bit unsettling. Especially since the team seemed to go into "run mode" in the second half. I didn't see one good clean run where the O line buried their D, or anything that suggested we can be multidimensional vs a good ranked team.
Now again, I didn't see the first half, so they might have showed that then. Can't wait for next week!

yes you did
7) our fans continue to leave at halftime and don't support the team through 4 quarters. Wait 9 months!!! for football to come and leave at halftime! No wonder the allure and mystique of Death Valley is Dead. Fans are never satisfied. LSU hangs 42 by halftime and that isn't good enough? No one wanted to see Brennan or the future young stars of LSU in second half? Beg and plead for an Offensive change for over a decade and it's finally packaged up and presented infront of the entire Nation and our fans get bored halfway through the 2nd quarter. How you claim to call yourselves football fans is pathetic.

1. Better than advertised.
2. Orgeron was not lying about D. Clark
3. Whatever Joe Brady makes isn't enough
4. Unbelievable execution for 1st game
5. Football is going to be fun this year
6. and a whole lot more....

Odd that the #2 and #3 receivers on a team would be the top duo in a conference.
Poor Justin Jefferson simply cannot overcome his low recruiting rankings. He will never be respected by many fans.

Damn good thread... We're rolling. We just need to win one game at a time. Next up - Texas.
