Terrible situation. People have to be smarter about the situations they put themselves in.
Having said that...
“I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.”

It didn’t happen in Baton Rouge.

Yeah and I made a light-hearted joke about it. And the shriveled panty wearing motherfukers downvoted the frick out of me. Sensitive Nancys.....

To those who say to just give it to the robber.... What if it he got if and shot them anyway? Also, im sure the PlayStation was not the only thing he was intending to rob from them. Can't trust a robber to hold up his/her end up of the deal.

I’m going to the dog park down the street later with my pup. You better believe I’ll be strapped, can never be too careful.

Why would the gun he used not be "legal?"
Is he prohibited from owning a gun? Not that I know of.
Is the gun of the type that requires a stamp? Doubtful.
Was the gun stolen? Doubtful.

Or protect yourself as is your American right and likely taught by his police officer father

Why did he have a gun on him?
I got bit by a dog one time and called the police. I was just riding my bike. The officer asked me if I had a gun. I said not a hand gun. I said that I don't have a permit. He told me that it is better to get caught with a gun than get caught without one if I needed it. Obviously he goes in places where not having a gun could be dangerous. I don't have an issue with him being armed. That is not exactly a safe area. As a matter of fact, there are many

Is someone's life really worth a PlayStation? That's pretty messed up if that is the case
Well if it was self defense like the rumor says happened, what do you suggest should have been done? Should CEH have just let the guy rob him? Here is the thing. If you are carrying and someone pulls a gun on you what are you going to do? I know what I will do. I am going look for a opportunity and shoot the guy. Because it is better to use deadly force when threatened with deadly force rather than just do nothing and hope the guy doesn't kill you.

The whole parish is Baton Rouge regardless of it being designated Scotlandville.

Sure hope CEH is exonerated of any wrong doing. He's a great kid and I would hate for him to have to serve time for a technicality in law that he isn't aware of.
Even manslaughter can be harsh for someone. I know someone still dealing with that after he shot a fellow HS student in the mid 90's.
Served 3 years of 5 and will likely be on parole or probation for life. Was an accidental shooting with the young man on his property when he was asked several times to leave the property, the victim grabbed the gun and it went off. Was in jail for a while awaiting trial and ultimately served 3 years.
