Has anyone on this board ever wondered WHY this happened ? Just asking, because I know I sure have.
Because that was a world class defense loaded with talent and they wanted to get paid?

So don't fricking tell me that Les didn't do anything to attempt to fix the offensive problems.
Explain the 4-5 years of inept offense please. Explain why we probably put 3-1 or higher rate of defensive guys in nfl over offensive guys. Is there a reason we get better defensive talent over offensive talent? Could it be that 17 year old kids see that miles offensive philosophy sucks?

FSU lost more. Before you start spouting "facts" make sure they are facts. FSU had more players drafted.

Alright Mr. Lombardi, what would you have done instead?
I know that your question is directed to someone else, but, I thought that you might be interested in my view.
IMHO, Coach Miles should be more pro-active in fixing problems. I like our OC and DC now, but, IMHO, Coach Miles should not have let a season pass by before making these hires.
Perhaps he was trying to be loyal by showing faith and confidence in the subordinate staff, but, IMHO, he was in error.
In the military, when a commanding officer is relieved, a subordinate officer is not promoted from within the organization to take command. What happens is that a talented officer from outside the unit is assigned to take the vacant command.
Coach Miles needed to find a Chavis and a Cameron immediately, and, not after a season of missed opportunity.

Nick Saban systematically uses a disciplined, plug-and-play coaching technique that allows new players to understand the system quickly and beat the snot out of opponents. Fact.
breaking news everybody.
nobody is arguing that saban isnt an awesome coach. hes the best in the nation and possibly the best all time.

Yea Mettenberger didn't just skyrocket up the draft boards this year or anything.

Hires that didn't work out. Not all of them do. As a matter of fact a lot of them don't. Which should make you pause a little.
If we have that hard of a time finding a decent offensive coordinator how hard will it be to find another competitive head coach?

outside of saban, what 5 or so coaches would you rather have than miles? just curious.

Yeah, I don't think a lot of posters remember pre-2003 LSU. FSU and Miami used to be where all the recruits went bc they were the "it" programs. Now its Bama. But lets not pretend that LSU recruits itself.

This isn't the military this is football. And in Football coaches tend to get AT LEAST two years to produce before they lose their job.

Not surprising from a fan of the program that kicked the winningest coach in college football history to the curb.
This encapsulates the sunshine pumpers and their perspective perfectly. Thank you, sunshine pumper. You are honestly slamming Florida State for forcing Bobby Bowden to retire and hiring Jimbo Fisher. And you really mean it.
There was another statement by a sunshine pumper that sums their thought process well. It was so good I made it my sig quote.

What is the common denominator? CLM...with all the different coordinators we still run the same running plays...over and over. You would think at least one of these coaches would say " hey les how about we go 3 wides and handoff out of the shotgun...you know spread out the defense"
How much action did mett get in 2011 to prepare him for last year? We blew teams out and they still didn't get him significant playing time. New QB and probably wr's for next years offense...should be a juggernaut

"You stupid fricks really do amaze me."
Fact ,these pussies think they're entitled. Recruit, reload, we will stay above all but one team in our division.

Copied this post from a response to an article written about last nights game:
"I'm over this loss already."
"As much as I love cheering for SEC teams, I hope in my heart of hearts that somebody, preferably FSU wins out and takes Bama down. It is not good for college football, the SEC, or LSU in general for Bama to win another title. Parity is the best thing for sport and parity does not currently exist (if it ever existed). At least other programs and fanbases enjoy wins for what they are, as opposed to the bammer robots who take the win and merely move on to the conquest because every games counts equally. This removal of emotion from the game, let’s call it Vulcanization, is what I hate about the “process” and is the reason why the rest of the USA should hope that it eventually dies an awful death.
My prayer tonight will be “dear baby Jesus, please let Mack Brown lose the rest of his games so that UT will buy what little is left of Saban’s soul and use it to destroy the remainder of evil in the world.”
Do we really want to be an Alabama? Just saying.

jimmy johnson are you even trying to be reasonable at this point?
chip kelly Could possibly happen but once again you're getting rid of a guy who has proven he can be competitve in the SEC with someone who has had virtually no success
chris peterson you mean the guy with 3 losses in the Mountain West conference right now?
jim mora junior Dont know enough about him to say one way or the other
jimbo fisher Why would he leave Florida State? He's got everything he wants or needs at Florida State
gregg williamsyou would really want to bring that circus to the university. You can't actually like LSU if so
