5 - Chris Johnson
4 - Tasmin Mitchell
3 - Garrett Temple
2 - Marcus Thornton
1 - Bo Spencer

The PG position was kind of up for grabs as Johnson iterated after the scrimmage. In his latest interview (after the Tulane exh.) he said Bo Spencer has distanced himself.

That is a solid and scrappy starting five.

I think Temple will have a good season since the switch. Awesome defender. Hopefully he has worked on that shot in the offseason. Brings lots of experience though.

His defense is invaluable and he isn't playing PG anymore so that's 100% fine by me.

the way I thought it would look. bo didn't turn the ball over. the rest of our starting 5 is good enough that if our point can handle the ball we will be alright. bass has to stop turning it over and he will be a great one, which i think he will.

If he can somewhat develop a decent shot he might be NBA material because his defense is good (but would be at best a role player on the NBA level and brought in for defensive situations only).

temple needs to take it to the hole more from the 3. he should have some lanes with tasmin and cj playin in the post. they both have range to pull the bigs out the lane and gt is fast enough to make it to the basket.

Temple is a good college defender but who is he going to guard in the NBA. The forwards will abuse him down low and the guards will blow past him on the perimeter. He might play overseas if he desires.

temple plays great deffense, but in basketball you need to score as well.

I think the biggest question at this point is not how will the starting 5 perform, but rather how much can our bench contribute?

- Can Quintin Thornton be more than just a defensive threat this year?

- Can Garrett Green get healthy enough to see the court this year?

- Can Chris Bass spell Bo Spencer for spurts and play Trent Johnson basketball and not out of control basketball?

- Can Terry Martin be a consistent 3-pt threat when Marcus Thornton isn't playing?

- Can Alex Farrer come in and be versatile and play with the intensity he did last year?

- Can the 3/4 freshmen step up and be solid contributors?
