That's nice. Good thing I was responding to his batting average comment. You know, since that's what he keeps mentioning.

He also called our hitting "better".

El, I don't have a strong position about the hitting. I guess it seems weak, but that's just college baseball today. That was a good point about that one Ms State game swaying the numbers. It's a little frustrating, though, that LSU gets a nice win, and all some want to do is fight about stuff that can't be proven one way or the other. Hell, I like jaydeaux' post right before these. Positive outlook.

I'm happy about the win. Very. Besides the defense, it was solid. I'm loving the timely hits.

But that's not what this thread was. The OP made an ignorant thread and those who actually pay attention to every game responded.

I never once said they were crappy chump. I stated that if the bats heated up they could make a run and if they didn't it would get ugly. We are somewhere in the middle right now so it's still in the air. You people get so butt hurt when people speak the truth. Do we have trolls on here sure but if someone says LSU can't hit it's not because they hate LSU or they are being negative. Damn look at the stats it's the truth.

Maybe it's just me, but it's really hard to take anyone who uses 'troll' and 'butthurt' in the same paragraph seriously....

We aren't going to be a great hitting team, and we don't need to be.

We just need timely hits, and good pitching. UCLA showed that last season.

usually doesn't work that way...good staffs aren't going to put baserunners on to get timely hits anyway

Which is why we'll have to rely on pitching

You basically just ignored everything I said. I've acknowledged the lack of baserunners, which is the point of saying we'll have to take advantage of our opportunities

I even gave you an example of a team that did it last season... So when we do have baserunners, we can't run out of innings or leave them stranded. UCLA beat us with 5 hits and won with games of 2, 2, 3, 4, and 8 runs. They had 5 hits vs LSU, 5 hits vs NC State, and 7 vs UNC

Lsu has hit the ball really hard all year, but right at the defense. Its baseball, sometimes a team wins with bloop singles over the infield if its timely (runners in scoring position. ) LSU crushed the ball against Stoney Brook and they caught everything. Then everything they hit, seemed to find green. Im not the biggest fan of Javi but until I sit and watch him teach his hitting approach, I reserve true judgement. We will continue to improve and the hits will fall. As long as our pitching continues to be so good, we will be in ballgames. As for Bregs, he doesn't have the protection he had last year, and thus he isn't getting anything to hit.

False.

When has this happened to us this year?

We seem to have gotten worse.

Then why has he been so aggressive?

Lots of lies here

LSU hit .186 in 4 games last week. They have the worst offense in the SEC and its not really close.

That works for a weekend or two but not an entire season.
