If we find a 3rd starter we are in the CWS with a damn good chance to get to the Finals plain and simple. Cant have a 3rd starter go 3 innings like the last two Sundays

Who was LSU’s “3rd starter” in 2023? Who was Tenner’s last season?

Again i don't care about other teams bro i care about LSU. I want a 3rd starter for us i don't give a fuk about other teams

Lmao. Wow.

OK so LSU is one of the 300 plus other teams in America without 3 “shutdown arms”. It was extremely rare before but in the NIL Era a true “dude” who is a #3 at one school is taking the money to go be a 1 or 2 at another.

Who was our #3 in 2009 or 2023?

When is the last time lsu had 3 starters that could go out & give us 5+ innings consistently?

Didn’t he come in as a pretty high ranking prospect before the surgery? I wouldn’t mind giving him a run at it especially if we win the first 2 games

I don't know tell me. Not that i care or not but enlighten me.

All i'm saying is if we can find a 3rd starter then our road to winning it all becomes much easier. I thought we had the 3rd starter in Evans but his last 2 starts have been so so. So we need him to give us 5 innings. The road to Omaha and winning the whole thing becomes easier if we can get a 3rd starter. If not can we win it all? Probably but someone else in the pen needs to step up

So you expect to do that again? The pen stepped up in 2023. Im having my doubts about the pen in 2025 other than Cowan.

I'd imagine that, like most years, our pitchers will look much better once we get away from the shitty SEC umpires.

SEC umps are bad, it’s not a misperception. Like in 2023, our pitching staff other than Skenes was struggling to throw strikes with the crappy SEC umps. We get to the postseason and our pitching staff looks a lot better without the SEC umps. You would think the best baseball conference in the country would have the best umps, NOT.

Any time someone starts spouting off about “needing a 3rd starter” in college baseball they can immediately be dismissed. It’s a luxury and has very little bearing on winning titles.

Just FYI.

Hell I had doubt about the entire staff except for Skenes in 23. The pen didn’t show up until the SEC tournament. Im not saying we’ll win it all but there is at least as much talent if not more on this staff as there was in 23.

You’re right by the stat calculations there is only 2 schools that bat the baseball better, so I’d say a 2 in 62 chance.(excludes Arkansas & Us)
