No we get a Top 8 seed, refresh, heal up the lil nags, and try to get to Omaha. As far as you get a good nights sleep, go to work, and leave the heavy lifting to JJ and staff.

How many teams will we face that hit as well as Arkansas?

when 3 runs and 25+ pitches are the result of an umpire missing a call, you can blame umps for giving up 3 runs and throwing 25 more pitches.

Why? You think Casan cemented himself as the third starter?

I think if every team swapped their rotation around everytime the starter gave up 4 Earned Runs it would be a constant swapping in and out every weekend for every team. It would be mayhem lol. Casan will be fine IMO. Stuff is too good. He faced an elite lineup, got unfavorable calls, and left too many pitches over the middle of the plate today. I fully expect him to adjust.

For now, yeah. Do you think that we have a bunch of other options that would be better than him?

What exactly do you expect to get out of your 3rd starter?

Good question (for real).

To answer your own question: do you think Evans is meeting expectations for a G3 starter?

Think Noot and Shores are close. Hopefully they will take the next step.

Well he came in the day having an ERA of under 3 as a starter. So that would be a huge yes. Obviously today was not ideal but you don’t make changes because of one game. See my post above on how wild that would be lol.

I would go Evans game 3 of a series if he's not needed in game 1. Go Noot or Shores if he's needed game 1. Should listen to me, I coach 10 yr old travel so I know what I'm doing

Noot could maybe get the nod for day 3. His stuff is really good when he's on. Shores I think is simply better in relief and he was like that before he got hurt too. He doesn't seem to thrive in the role of starter. That's fine because it just gives us another long relief arm out of the pen.

Honestly, this LSU team has a lot of super talented bullpen guys that just need consistency. They're very streaky. I could see them making a run of dominance like we saw 2 years ago. They could keep showing up inconsistent or you can find more arms when it matters the most. Happened in our NC run don't think it can't happen again especially since most of these guys out of the pen are tossing big league stuff.

It’s only Evan’s if you win game 2 without using him! Because in a close game your going to Evan’s in game 2 in relief others words your going shores and that maybe the case moving forward now ! But I also think Evans will turn it on here late with another opportunity! 2nd time through the Line up he hasn’t done well the last 2 weeks but in a close game when you need 6 outs your going to Evans in game 2

Oh stop..

He threw 93 pitches in 3.1 innings against A&M and 87 pitches in 3.2 innings today.

Too many pitches my man the stats don't lie. We need 5 innings from this guy plain and simple. In the CWS you need 3 starters.

Many teams have won the CWS without 3 reliable starters. I’m not sure a single team in the country right now has 3 lol. Kentucky may be the closest so I’m assuming you believe they’re gearing up for the natty run?

If we find a 3rd starter we are in the CWS with a damn good chance to get to the Finals plain and simple. Cant have a 3rd starter go 3 innings like the last two Sundays
