Hope so. I want burrow to take the job by the balls. We really need him to be the man.

RIght, because he was such a low rated recruit. Has to be bad.

Come on. If he starts I hope he does well, but lets not act like if he is named he started then the season’s outlook would not get a lot bleaker.

I really don't think Brennan will ever see significant snaps at LSU. I could be way off but I think that weak competition in high school was fools gold.

If Burrow hadn't magically appeared in BR we'd be lining up with JM at the helm in a few weeks and the Rant would be off the chain.

You people who want it to be bleak have already declared it a disaster. McMillan being named the starter couldn't make it any worse for you.

I want burrow to be the clear cut starter. I want him to blow away the competition. If he is sinking to the other level of the other 3 that is not good for LSU’s season outlook.

The guy could not see the field before this spring. We went out and begged Burrow to come in and be the savior because we had no one else the coaches thought could make us competitive.

If anyone other than Joe starts it is a disaster and a complete fail by the coaching staff.

Now if he isn’t good enough then someone else should start. But that would be complete fail in and of itself.

Or maybe he's starting at the level of the most experienced team QB in a new offense during his first practices?

I’m sure burrow is fine. I expect him to pull away the further they get into camp.

LMAO I’m just here for the replies

Every one needs to realize the political decision here.

Burrow competes and wins the starting position for Miami game even if the competition is close. If he shits the bed then we are back to the next man up - likely McMillan. That way coaching staff gave him his opportunity and saves face because they tried to get the best available. Also, in that scenario, nobody is wondering how long it will be until he does get to show his wares.

Personnaly, I believe Burrow wins it and keeps it based on what I saw in Spring Games...FWIW

My thoughts.

Starter: Burrow
2nd String: McMillan
3rd String/Wildcat: Narcisse

Brennan: RS

That sounds like the best plan for him if he wants to stay at LSU

I am pretty sure that Brennan and his family realize what needs to be done. I would try and have brennan room with burrow to help with film study and the mental aspects because honestly Myles needs to treat his diet and training like 60 hour a week job.

Can't let McMillan transfer incase something happens to burrow. Narcisse should be able to play a limited version of the playbook with perhaps a simple RPO on most plays. Building an elaborate wildcat scheme will just take time away from focusing on what they should be focusing on.

Just my opinion... you want Narcisse with a threat of pass or else you're just gonna get 8 man boxes when he goes in the game.
