That's a good percentage, but he was too inconsistent, especially in his deep throws. We had 0 shot against Sabama last season because of the liability at QB.

Burrow is more accurate than Etling, thank God.

Etling had 60% completion at LSU.

Pretty average. Not bad by any means, but that is right in the middle of the pack in the SEC.

I'd like to see Burrow get to 63/64% at least.

If we're looking at some sort of pkg for a mobile guy, JMac is the one I would be looking at. His quickness was more than evident in the spring game.

But JMac is not accurate enough and makes too many mistakes. Burrow is also mobile, plus he's accurate.

Lord Emperor Saban has basically said the exact same thing at Alabama re: his QB race. Is he playing "stupid arse mental hopscotch" as well? And if so, does he get to play this game since he has won championships?

Well, Hurts has an actual case to argue vs Tua. He's 26-2 as the starting QB.

I don't know if that's the winning case because we all think Tua's just better, but Hurts has results to point to.

Because Brennan is redshirting and narcisse isn’t ready. It’s burrow’s job, but if he gets hurt or struggles, the redshirt comes off Brennan.

I think this is correct. McMillan should transfer when Brennan beats him out again like he did last fall camp. Brennan will still get into 4 games this season and can redshirt. I'd rather see Narcisse in the primary backup role this season unless Burrow is hurt and we need a late scoring drive (sort of like what happened with Anthony Jennings when Mettenberger was hurt against Arkansas in 2013).

Burrow, Narcisse, Brennan (in 4 games to preserve redshirt)
McMillan should transfer if he wants meaningful playing time

I meant generally stronger, not his apparent arm strength. No point in being bigger if he is not stronger and faster.

RIght, because he was such a low rated recruit. Has to be bad.
no because while looking better than the others still threw under 50 percent in the spring game and didn’t look good.

Etling was “accurate” and had a good QBR because he was managed. The plays were tailored to what he could do.

I watched his intermediate and long throws and his accuracy was very spotty. We’ll see with Burrow. He looks good against air, but when facing a stiff pass rush, things could change.

What a difference two days makes, Brennan is going to make someone (anyone) earn this job. He wants it.

I don't wanna put down on Etling, but stop giving me these ridiculous devils advocate replies. You know damn well he could not get us where we wanted to be. Just stop with this foolishness.

That’s ridiculous 87. Brennan is LSU to the end. He will never transfer. Why do you think Orgeron is pandering to the other QBs? Because the knows Brennan knows his time is coming. Even if he redshirts this year he will be a force to be reconed with for years to come. Book it

He was coming off a serious back injury that lingered for two years. Some ppl on here are so fkin dumb. Brennan struggled some but did some good things as well in limited action. He basically was a HS senior playing Sec football. He is a perfect man for the new RS rule. We have 3 very talented qb’s and that’s a first n along time for LSU

He just isn’t good.

He wasn’t that good at Purdue, he wasn’t that good here. He went farther than 99.99% of people who put on a helmet, but he’s not that good.

That's a fact, but what does it have to do with my statement? I stated that he was not capable of getting us to where we wanted to be. That's also a fact.
