Both PJ and T-Bob badly need a full off season in the weight room. They should both be noticably improved in 2010.

The only reason PJ replaced T-Bob was due to the field conditions being absolutely terrible and would have been too risky on T-Bob's restructured knee.

PJ was average at best during the game. T-Bob will be the man next year.

Dworacyzk and Hitt should have been on the sideline this year. Blackwell and Hurst should have been starting. The o-line would have been better.

Playing on that field isn't condusive to accurately judging the OLine's ability. TBH was terrible all year. PJL was good in the last series against Tulane and against Tech. He, Hurst, and Blackwell should have played more this year. It is impossible to defend the performance of the 5 starters in '09.

Southern Man, love the way you spin it & try to justify PJ's play on Friday! Own up!! You are one of the main guys bashing Hebert the entire year saying that if only we would see PJ more, the inside running game would improve drastically. Well, we all saw what happened on Friday! How are you going to blame Hebert for 41 yds on 25 att now?

If you actually knew anything about football, you would understand. The bowl game is the least relevant game to judge the players on--good or bad--for this season.

Southern Man - You are a JOKE! Keep trying to justify PJ's play on Friday. 41 yds on 25 att!So, by what you are saying PJ just did not give it his best effort or something? That had to be your worst come back post so far. Just OWN UP!

T-Bob should be completely healthy next season. I expect big strides from him. Get bigger, have a better grasp of the game, etc.

He is definitely better than Lonergan as a center IMO.

I would like to see lonergan play a lot more. Maybe give tbob a shot at guard. I still dont know why people give him a hard tome. Didnt pkay much last year and had knee surgery. No one comes off of knee surgery and has the best season of his career. T bob was never 100% and people will see that next year.

it seems to me that alot of people are trying to put the blame on different players and not where it needs to be....on the coaches
how many times have you watched pro or even high school ball and seen a team double team a good player? How many seconds does the qb get to throw the ball in most cases and if no one is open what do they do?

TBH not being 100% healthy was a major reason why he shouldn't have been playing as much as he did. Miles did a disservice to him, the offense, and the team by starting him all season. And for the game Friday, no player should be judged for playing well or not. Randle dropped a sure touchdown, but the conditions were horrible. Should his scholarship be jerked? Of course not. The most glaring error was the screen to LaFell over the middle with no TOs left. Dumbass call. Actually, playing a bending-type defense might not have been a bad plan. PSU tried to turn the ball over to LSU repeatedly, but sometimes the ball bounces the other way.

What a joke. Hey ShowMeTheMoney, how about you go ahead and ShowMeTheLink of where you're pulling this bullshite out of.

Lonergan started because he was better.

Your right. A sloppy field like that would make one only believe an olineman is better than he was. A wet field is an olinemans dream. It makes it much more diffucult for dlineman to speed rush and cut etc. This was just a game where the oline could just line up and hit them in the mouth and PJ showed nothing to help his case as being clearly the best center. I think both Tbob and PJ were very close and the coaches wanted more experience at the postition.

Southern Man - Keep on spinning it to justify PJ's play on Friday. You can maybe convince yourself on some of your own reasoning. 41 yds on 25 att! Boy, you were surely quick to pull the trigger & point the finger at Hebert during the regular season huh! Why don't you be consistent with your judging of the C play.

The Bob - PJ Better?? Did I miss something during Friday's game or something? 41 yds on 25 att! Can we agree that the Center play was not the #1 issue with our offense this year?

Center was far from the problem with this team.

The Bob - Amen! We finally agree on something. By me posting Friday's running game stats over & over was to just duplicate what a few posters would try to do during the reg season to attempt to point the finger at Hebert. Just dishing it back.

Superfast & Outnumbered glad to see you boys back up and running. I think 41yds on 25 attempts is better than 30yds on 31 attempts. I think T-Bob is probably a fine young man and bleeds Purple & Gold. What I don't like is Bobby Hebert being critical of the LSU staff while his son is a member of that team. Bobby should let others on the radio program be critical but he should have the class of Golic who would not address the Notre Dame coaching situation because he has a son on the team and he said it would be inappropriate for him to comment. When Bobby says that the center is the key to an offense, then he needs to be intellectually honest and include his son in the equation while being critical of Miles.I still feel based on the times that Lonergan & Blackwell have been in games that their performances have been better than T-Bob & Dworaczky.Welcome back boys.Trying to judge a team on a muddy field is like trying to handicap a horse race on an off track.Off tracks are the greatest equalizer in sports.Hope you guys have a great year.GEAUX TIGERS!!
