Has NOTHING TO DO with being able to call a spade a fricking spade.

Orgeron is a spade. In fact, he's Ole Miss' worst spade ever.

Oh...I hope he magically turns into some fantastic coach and leads LSU to a run that would make Saban and BAMA envious of in comparison. But I'm an adult, and as much as I'd like to live my life as if my hopes can alter reality, they really can't.

I love LSU Football, and it's that love which forces me to call this for what it is. there will be no points given for Most Loyal Fan Ever in a year or two if Orgeron tanks this program and we actually ARE a rebuild. In fact, guys that routinely called for "patience" while the program slid behind will be remembered as a large part of what got us to where we will be.

Maybe if Saban hires him to coach his DL once LSU fires him. That's the only way he'll sniff a NC win.

On planet Earth, where most of us are, this is not a good move.

its still going on.
red's my boy but he is a hypocrite on this subject. at no time did he want to or stop bashing the most accomplished coach in lsu history but now that we have O, its getting old

Its old only becuase you're bringing nothing new to the table.
O's accomplishments...or lack there of....have been dissected/analyzed/criticized in every conceivable manner...and for what? All to no avail.

That's what tickles me. Y'all think youre making a difference. did you see how long it took to pull the trigger on Miles?

Settle in boys. Nothing is going to happen anytime soon.

go back and check my post history if you want.....I usually moved on in the off season. I might have jumped into a random "Let's bash Miles" thread occasionally...but it was by no means daily.

the sad part willie is that if we had hired the greeter at Walmart, they wouldve had as much experience running a successful side of the ball and as much experience running a successful program as the person WE DID hire. you should never be happy that our clown ad bet the future of lsu football on a proven failure that any other AD wouldnt interview for a coordinator's job.

You should fly to Vegas and put $100 on that one if you believe that. It'll be well worth the trip if you're right.

So, what would be your suggestion for someone that doesn't agree with a point that's been made about the coach in a discussion and the counter to that point is to bring up his coaching history? I'm talking total history and/or recent history.

And yet, he basically goes unscathed on this site. O is a pawn...albeit a dumb one....but nothing more than a pawn.

not as much as O....and he should be the one receiving the most blame. He created this goat fuq we are currently living with by:

1. Letting miles stay on after the 15 season when he should have been fired then.
2. Settling for O.

the other evidence was how much more well disciplined and better execution almost immediately once he took over in his interim year and how the offense suddenly was hard to predict.

Miles was 10-6 in the month of November after Bama losses. thats a 63% win total.

I think it's 2015 that looms in people's minds, when he lost 3 in a row including Bama. It's recency bias, that's what happened last so they think that was the norm.

Yep, three consecutive double digit losses are things that simply don't happen at LSU. Miles was fired because the program is held to a very high standard by its fans...

until it isn't and 30 point losses to state and losses to Sun Belt teams can be explained away with a few keystrokes.
