Well that should help LSU, last night they scored on the 3rd string catcher who pitched the 9th inning for Tulane.

Auburn can hit as well as if not better than tamu. Their pitchers are high school quality.

Still more concerned about scoring runs. Lange, Poche, and Valek have the ability to shut down an offense for 6-7 innings. I wish we could give these guys a nice early lead for once. Not asking for much just a 2 to 3 run lead.

Or even a one run lead. I'm not sure if we've taken the lead first in any conference games this season

I love the good melt that comes when we lose a midweek game. It happens every year, good LSU team or bad. They don't really matter. The rant needs to save its angst for SEC weekends.

The problem I have with Mckay last night wasn't just the fact it was 4 straight walks. It was that he was missing in the same spot every time. It was one mechanical problem that he couldn't fix on the fly. I know he is a freshman and will figure out how to do that but it is worrisome because you don't know when it could happen again if you put him in a big spot.

Mechanical problems that aren't fixed soon become a problem between the ears.

Those issues are worse.

I think he and Dunn can fix it before his next outing. He was flying open before his arm was ready and it caused everything to go high arm side. He has to be able to recognize that and fix it one pitch to the next or at least one hitter to the next to be great. He has the stuff to be a great pitcher at LSU but he has to learn to pitch not just throw.
