This!

Which then makes the concepts of “student athlete” and “eligibility” seem laughable.

If I don't think the end (winning) justifies the means, I'm a pussy.

Have I got all of that right?
You could just drop the conditional dependent clause and go with the declaration.

Bottom line,he’s not doing ANYTHING ILLEGAL!!!The fact he left OM the way they FORCED him to ,rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Unfortunatly it’s the lib media, with an agenda, and pissed of fans who are driving this negativity.People need a villain or 2 ,Trump, LANE are the villains right now. When all this is said and done the media will end up with egg on their face when all the facts and legalities are settled.

This is my favorite

To even question whether all of this is worth it will still subject you to tRant’s wrath.

It’s whatever at this point. I’m over it and just ready for actual football to start.

Its that the line is being drawn t guys that signed NFL contracts and participated in training camps.

First year FA players are paid a per diem to participate in mini camp and they may be extended a contract offer to participate in training camp.
The contract is void if they don’t make the team and are paid a per diem for time spent in training camp. The contract is only valid if they make a team.

This signed a NFL contract stuff is BS.

Justify it however you want, LSU is still the ONLY school trying to sign guys that participated in NFL training camps. That's where the line is being drawn and we have no allies in this pursuit.

This is not a CLK decision, this will be an LSU leadership decision based on the legality of the situation.

What can you small brained people not understand about this? CLK informed leadership if their is an avenue for these guys to play, he would like to have them. LSU leadership and legal counsel will run the traps with player reps, the courts, NCAA and SEC. If the courts deem it legal to play them and NCAA/SEC have no legal authority to punish LSU then they will inform Lane they can play. If there is a way that LSU can be punished, LSU will inform Lane that the players cannot play.

So yes, stop being a fricking pussy and let this work itself out.

This is not true. The separation between mini camp and training camp is laughable. One is ok, the other isn't. The fact is the both the guys who went to mini camp and the guys who went to training camp are not and have not made an NFL team and that participation will never have them listed as NFL players.

Also, LSU isn’t doing anything, the players are..

Cole Hutson participated in multiple NFL camps before going back to Texas
Thomas Castellanos Is at Texas Tech after participating in NFL minicamps
TJ Harden is entertaining multiple offers, notably Mizzou and KY, after participating in nfl camp.

2 players are trying to come back and play at LSU, 2. Big freaking deal.

I agree that the line has to be drawn somewhere, but if they (NCAA/SEC) are going to be fair and equitable then draw the line at 5 years to play 4 across the board this year, point blank period.

Oh wait they can't, there is TRO's and suits across the country.

What i do like about this is the fact that it is shining the light on how ridiculous all of this is... even getting down to.... "well that guy entered the draft, went to mini-camp but did not make training-camp, so "that" is ok but if you made training-camp, fu$k you you're dead meat"

None of these college kids are amateurs anymore but the NCAA needs to square their shite away fast if it is to even make it past next summer as a org any longer, to include getting NIL, rev sharing, unlimited transfers, pro players of any kind, etc, figured out!

My position is that LSU is in the right, and all the outcry is simply people who do not understand the situation in full. We should not bow down to the SEC. We are not cheating, stretching the rules, or doing anything that other schools will not do / have not already done.

This media machine understands that Lane is a hot topic, and they water down all the details so they can make inflammatory statements on their garbage hot take shows to drive viewership. The majority of college football fans are not going to read all the details of every situation that arises in the sport, so they take their words at face value. Easy to shite on LSU when you're using strawman arguments.
