So why do you morons think Miles has NOT played KW as much as you would like? He just LIKED Hester more? Racism? Obviously there is a reason why the coach of a national championship team did not play him. I really don't care what your opinions are about it, because all that really matters is the REAL REASON. Why don't you get press credentials and ask Miles yourselves?
grrrrrrrrrrrr

I dont think it will be a huge problem this year, or was even a big problem last year. But Miles did make mention of it on 2-3 occasions.

Lets be real. Don't let your LSU fandom get in the way of using your brain. Wait...nevermind, this is The Rant....

I love Scott and think he is the most complete back LSU has imho, but I think it will be RB by committee big time this year which I'm ok with.
Agreed here, RB by committee is pretty much a given. but one RB is going to be listed as the starter at the beginning of the season and end of the season and will get a majority of the carries. That's what I meant by featured back. I just think it will be Scott by the end of the season and maybe at the start. Can't wait to find out...

That has nothing to do with the report that this post is about.
We're not talking about one person starting or not. It's the fact that a RB is considered as having a fumbling problem, yet has never fumbled in a game compared to the fact that another back is regarded as fumble-proof yet has fumbled in a game and why this perception doesn't mirror reality or why relaity can't prove the perception.

I think e-mails to ESPN are in order.

fumble problem
i don't think KW ever fumbled once last season, where in the hell does espn get their info on lsu. it was first les to UM and now saying KW has a fumbling problem when he never fumbled the ball last season.

They got it from the f-ing head coach who said that KW's putting the ball on the ground is an issue. Do you not f-ing read?
Here's the quote, again:
quote:
"Keiland Williams had some nice carries, but no back can put the ball on the ground. He (Williams) did that, and that’s an issue.”
This is not something ESPN made up. It came directly from Les Miles' mouth on April 5th, 2008.
And Hester fumbling once 5 seasons ago is irrelevant. It's time to move on, Max.
Unfortunately, I'm not privy to whether or not KW has issues holding on to the ball in practice, since practices are closed. Ball protection is something this coaching staff has done an excellent job with, especially when it comes to the RBs.
Do any of you really think the coaching staff purposely puts inferior players on the field? It's their job, their livlihood on the line. I guarantee you they want to win every bit as much as we want them to. Their careers depend on it. Not many of us can say that.

so keiland has a fumbling problem?
Charles Scott will be the feature back, so KW will have less opportunities to fumble.

so scott is going to keep keiland from fumbling in practice?

i just think it was crappy reporting. the way the writer said it it sounds like keiland fumbles all the time.
even though he has never fumbled in a game.
i just thought it was strange that they would say that about him.
