It is a bit ironic you mention all of these atrocities or misuse of talented players and your examples are a few guys that are hanging around as depth or fighting to make a practice squad while not mentioning the guys that played a lot at LSU, were picked high, and are actually contributing or starting in the league.
Keiland Williams and J Lee are the two that come to mind the most. I truly believe that if KW would have been the feature back at LSU that he would have had a great career at LSU, probably running for a minumum 1500 a year, and likely more. He had big play ability, but miles loved Charles Scott. It was unfortunate that when he finally got his chance, he got hurt.
J Lee is another. He played very good last year, and LSU actually had a real offense when he was in there the first part of the season. He actually led the SEC in passer rating, and rarely threw a pick. Yes, he played poorly against bama, but hell, he only played 11 plays. He did actually lead the team to 3 first downs. He threw a couple of bad pics...the first being a forced pass after he dropped the snap....the second should have been on the coaches...they sat him out until 2nd half, and then first play had him throwing long over the middle. He never played another meaningful down at LSU. Hell, Drew Brees has bad picks...peyton manning has bad picks...and those guys have played forever. YOu overlook those plays...but with JL it was a microscope just waiting for him to mess up.
Btw, the two players they played behind are JJ and Charles Scott....neither actually doing that much in the NFL....at all.

you are one real tool on here.
Miles has done a great job at LSU, with a better winning % than any coach ever at LSU. In case you might not understand it, coaching is a lot more than working the sidelines on gameday. Maybe Miles isn't the absolute best gameday coach, but he is tops in many other important categories, with recruiting being one of them. LSU doesn't just get all this talent you do understand that right, it takes great recruiting in today's times. Les is a quality guy, and the players love playing for him, and the coaches love working for him. WHEN he goes on to win the NC this year....I hope people like you will disappear from this site. You aren't working with a full deck, that is for sure.

Hmm, wasn't he on the LSU roster last year?

Tubucoco,
i can't disagree with you more. CLM continues to establish LSU as a top 3 football power house every year for like the last 5 yrs or so. He runs a good clean program, he is a straight up coach. Your comment t about losing to Bama last year brings to question your football savy. Bama was stacked! We shite our pants Jan. 9th, no doubt. But, CLM has been very good about correcting mistakes. Sit back and watch this season.

Tell that to NS who went 9-3, was out of the SECCG race in Oct. the yr before, and to the HC's walking the sidelines at LSU from 75 to 2000.
Yeah, NS did sooooooo well vs. Ga before running to Miami, huh.
Think 45-16 Ga in 04.
Free advice...if you gonna troll and chit stir, come up with some better material cause right now you are sucking at it.

All done off the tremendous talent LSU keeps as I have been sayin, nothing to do with his coaching, you or I could have had the cap on pacing the sidelines in his place and finished with the same record

quote:Never said anything otherwise, just doubt his coaching ability. I have given him credit for continuing the highpowered recruiting that keeps LSU in the hunt every year. And those that wana keep sayin Bama was the better team and all that, that LSU was a year too early and all that, go right on ahead and tell yourselves that. But I know that's not true, had LSU won that game you would be singing a different tune.
He runs a good clean program, and is a straight up coach.
Being outcoached in that game was the diffrence!

Nick Saban wouldn't have won in '04 like you are sayin because it takes at least a year to get the new players acclimated. But he would have if he had stuck around the folloowing year like I said up above and not bolted to Miami. He proved that this past season at Alabama, they have won 2 titles in 3 years, man. Which, btw, pisses me the hell off as it should you!
Coaches walking the sidelines from 75 to 2000 had nowhere near the talent Saban started LSU on after he left. Look, I can go on and on about this, but this crap will never end. You guys see what you wanna see, and I don't agree, simple as that!
and no coach is gonna win back to back unless they are really stacked like Miles of all people is. He could have gone back to back with this team. If he doesn't win this season, I'll be really curious to see what you chumps will say then.
That's it for me, brah, tired of arguing with morons! And please, keep your "free advice" cause it sucks arse!

So what happened in November between LSU and Bama. How did LSU win that game but couldn't win the January game?

I don't know, ask frickin Miles!

Manning and Lee's footwork are not even close to being the same. Manning always chopped his feet but would still step into the throw.
Peyton said in an interview that he throws off his back foot about as often as he gets to step into the throw.
I'm amused at the number or self appointed experts who pretend they know so much about successful athletes in order to slam a player.

See, I've never had a detailed set of screenshots highlighting Manning's flaws like we got for JL, so I'm not prepared to make that comparison.

If you want to see a college/SEC football moron, brah, look in your mirror.
Nick, in his 5th yr, gets a pass for going 9-3, being out of the SECW race in Oct, and finishing at #16, but Les gets called out for going, in his 1st yr, 11-2, winning the West, and finishing at #5???
After using that kinda logic, I would run away as well, brah.
While you have every right to feel as you wish bout Miles, calling out a HC who leads all BCS coaches/SEC HC in wins since 05 for not doing enough with the program is bout as moron like as it gets.
You hurry back...you hear. Your pissing/moaning bout the coaching going on at LSU in the greatest period of success in LSU history has me

You are referring to comments he made on TV during the LSU-Tennessee game last year and you are leaving out that he said it is due to the pass rush. He doesn't just do it for the hell of it when no one is around him.

Hey man, they have done well......as has LSU. While Bama has won 2 titles, they have won only 1 SEC Title in 5 years with Saban. During that same period, Miles has won 2 SEC Titles. If Miles and company win the SEC again this year, it will be 3 straight regular season wins over Saban, and 3 SEC titles to Saban's 1, over the same period of time. While that doesn't impress you, I'm pretty impressed by that. Not comparing SEC to National, I'd rather NC...but it says a lot to win a SEC Title...and bama was VERY fortunate to get a chance to play for the NC this past year, given they could not beat miles and company at home.

This is probably the most significant post to show just how truly ignorant you are. You act like other schools don't pay their coaches millions to win titles. You act as if LSU is the ONLY school out there with abundant talent and a drive to win a championship. It is very hard to win a title, as a lot of things much happen and some breaks go your way...see LSU in 2007 and Bama in 2011...they both needed breaks, although LSU at least won the conference. Just FYI....LSU is not even the favorite to win the Title this year....so your statement is absolutely ridiculous. Hell yes, I want them to win a title, but if they fall short, and have another 13-1, or heaven forbid 12-2 season.......that is still pretty damn good.
You sir, are a complete idiot. I won't call you a kid, but you certainly have a thought process like some.

The original message was that Florida fans said that about Manning (butt hurt rivals) but everyone with eyes can see that Lee did it, including his own fans. Therefore it is still a terrible comparison. You can bitch and cuss like a little woman, but it won't change the fact that it made no sense.

Saban had to be kickin himself in Miami knowing he walked away from another national title that year because he wouldn't have blown a huge lead like that against Tennessee
