Well, there is no way getting rid of Miles is in the cards. And it shouldn't be. The guy flat out has been as successful as anyone in College football. I do agree with most of what you say though. The offense is just ridiculous at this point. Even when we were awful in the 90s our offenses were more potent then this IMO. I honestly think we could line up against a brick wall and we will run it up the middle into said brick wall....... Another thing is......when we do go outside the box it is like the dumbest shite EVER. Like its second and goal from the 4 yard line and lets roll out our QB. The guy that makes Darth Vader look like Micheal Vick. As soon as we ran that shite I knew we wouldn't score a TD that drive.

Collins has played well and consistently at guard all year. Right now he is our best offensive lineman. He is twice as athletic as Hurst and JD put together. Why wouldn't you try Collins at tackle? I still don't see how Collins could do any worse. We have lineman who can fill in at guard.

This has got to be worth trying at this point - I mean, how much worse could it be than what they are doing now?

I think he is referring to style, not the productivity. If LSU ran that style of offense with our defense, we'd only need to be half as effective as that USC team with no defense was.

i almost started this same thread earlier..

we can coach and execute all we want, but there is a lot of talent sitting in warm ups on our sideline (and the stands).. might be too much to overcome against the good teams

No offense but this is straight false.

Saban and Meyer have been significantly more successful. Both won 2 titles, have multiple 1-loss or better seasons, multiple SEC championships, etc and both took over rebuilding jobs unlike Miles.

No one has done less with more starting material than Les Miles except for Larry Coker.

Miles refuses to open up the offense. We see what happens when he doesn't open it up. If he does stretch the field, the worst thing that can happen is we lose again. The offense can't get any worse.

yeah you don't have to get crazy with the offense, but you have to be strong in both areas of offense

and this dumb arse shite didn't sit around when we used to get our arse kicked all the time. Check out Miles record vs Meyer and Saban. Check out his record against anyone. The guy is a winner, and that can't be denied. We have lost 3 regular season games in like the last 30. He just needs to bring in someone and let them coach the offense.

2005 USC defense was awful. They put up points but no team with a quick strike offense will ever have a top 5-10 defense

stretching the field isn't really the problem as much as creating a passing game over the middle of the field

we lack a big WR to muscle in balls on the sidelines. we need to run more drags, crossing routes, and screens to our smaller/quicker WRs. we're trying to run an offense without pieces for that offense, basically, and not adjusting out offense for the players

I'm not disagreeing at all. I actually like reading your threads most of the time, so I wasn't flaming when I said I was disappointed that you didn't have anything else to say.

Agreed. and it feels like whenever we do run pass plays, our receivers are uncomfortable.

I would be fine with this.

But will he do it?

I don't know.

dont even think people are wanting to see a quick strike offense.

an efficient, creative offense is more like it...and creativity can be subjectively looked at obviously.

though honestly, i think if you give sumlin a defense, he can be especially dangerous.

pray that a&m doesn't get that soon.

the issues, by this point, should be obvious

this season just is making me realize how strange LSU in 2011 was

we got a ton of lucky plays at the right times and we were pretty much healthy all year. that shite ain't going to happen often

see I think our line was in shambles even if Faulk didn't get hurt, has anyone stepped in to replace the guys who graduated last year on the o-line?
